I have a question about the new service EA Play/Pro. I've been a member of orgin acces premier for a while now. But sadly, I cannot connect the same account to the new PS4's Ea Play. As it requires me to purchase the membership again via the store. Will I be able to connect my account to different platforms or not?

Why must I pay for two seperate memberships? For the Xbox one and the ps4.

@winter_rosenau Hello.

Because they are different platforms and the subscription is tied to your Xbox or PSN accounts not your EA account.

It would be best to tie one subscription to our EA accounts but I don't think that would work best financially for EA, especially if Sony and Microsoft are both taking some form of cut from it.

At the beginning it was also only available on Xbox and PC, not PS.

I have a subscription for EA Access, now was renamed to EA Play. I can use this subscription on PC or I need to get a new subscription?

@MathRoses Unfortunately the subscriptions are platform specific, so will only work on the platform you purchased the subscription on.
It works the same way as it did before, they just renamed it.

What about Playstation5? Will it be possible to use your account on new console if you have created one (and have valid membership for several months) on PS4
I guess a lot of people will switch to PS5 once it's available.

Seems like more people would be inclined to join if it wasn't required to purchase multiple EA Play subscriptions just to play on different platforms. I joined thinking it was a given. Who in they're right mind would by this subscription multiple times? They're lucky there's people who take the chance and try this at all. This is why EA has a bad rep, for doing things of this nature. I know I'm not the only one who will be saving his money by not renewing my subscription after learning of this.

@NuCl3aR32 Agree wholeheartedly, maybe when Microsoft rolls out their ea play/gamepass combo I'll be interested but I cancelled my subscription.

There should be an up front warning that you are buying for that platform only. I just bought a membership on my computer, that I never use because it is a POS, and now I can't use it on my PS4. Ugh, what a waste of money!
