Will EA Play be a single purchase cross platform?

If you have a subscription to EA Play on one platform (ex. Xbox) will you be able to use that subscription on the other platforms (PS4, Origin, Steam, Switch) or will you need a subscription for each platform?

    @BuckeyeBrave Hello there,

    You will need a subscription for each platform i'm afraid. Everything remains the same it's just a name change across all platforms.

    That is what I figured. I wanted to make sure I wasn't being misled by articles calling it "cross-platform" when in it is, as you've said, actually just a unified name on each platform.

    @BuckeyeBrave Yeh i understand, I was hoping it would change to a single sub myself but not so lucky.
    Although I am surprised they are not doing a single sub for Steam and Origin.

    From what ive read, they are doing it across Steam and Origin later in the month. part of me is optimistic, but that's mostly my nature and not what i expect.
