Xbox account prompting new account creation, not linking to existing account

When attempting to link my Xbox account with my EA account, when I use the platform choice log in (xbox account), it will prompt me to create a new EA account, it will not allow me to connect it to m...

I have tried clearing the cache and cookies yeah, and unfortunately I only have a PC, so I cant really try that option (otherwise I absolutely would)

@Switchblade-582 Have you tried using the same mail address on your Xbox account as your EA account and then tried linking it via the link that Illium provided?
