Please read his post. This has nothing to do with not having access to an account. It is EA that has a ridiculous rule that in the lifetime of your EA account it can only be linked to one Xbox account. So even if you unlink your Xbox account, you cannot add a new one.
Here is an image for some proof. Apparently my EA account was linked to some old Xbox account back in 2007, so now I can never link my Xbox account with gamepass...

@javathehat The only positive is that you are able to link something and play... I have linked accounts (and I only have one xbox/microsoft and one EA account. However, whenever I try to install anything I get the "Install EA Desktop" prompt (even though it is installed) and whatever I click on ends with "failed". Brilliant.
- 5 years ago@OMyrvold Sorry to hear that you can't even play. I saw this post earlier (below). Not sure if it's a match but there appears to be quite a few issues with that Xbox / EA integration..

@javathehat I found this https://answers.ea.com/t5/EA-Play-PC/I-can-t-install-EA-Play-games-in-xbox-game-pass/m-p/10181436#M1903 and the link there, that worked. But I really don't want to have UAC enabled ☹️
- 5 years ago@OMyrvold Oh myyy. So workarounds instead of solutions. I'd say "typical" but sometimes they don't even have a workaround...

@javathehat Yup. Idk if it's ok to disable it after the game is installed or not though. Guess I'll try tomorrow or something 🙂
