Xbox PC App not recognizing EA Play Pro subscription
Greetings,
I have an EA Play Pro subscription purchased with EA, and separately, an Xbox Game Pass for PC purchased through Microsoft. My EA and Microsoft accounts are linked, and I have the EA Desktop Beta app installed. The Xbox App for PC sees my already installed EA games (FIFA 22 as the best example), and allows me to open the game from within the Xbox App. However, the Xbox App does not seem to recognize my EA Play Pro subscription, as it tells me that the game would be played through "EA Play" and that it would only be a 10 hour free trial.
Is there a way to get the Xbox app to recognize my EA Play Pro subscription?
EA Play subscriptions are run separately based on the platform and don't support cross-content (ex. EA Play Pro won't work on Steam or Game pass).
What this means is that the Xbox app will only recognize or talk to the EA Play you get through subscribing to Game Pass, This can be seen by the available playlist on Pro and Game Pass not being the same.
So in order to utilize the EA Play Pro sub, you will need to use the Origin PC client and to use the playlist with Game Pass you will need to use the Xbox and EA Desktop Clients.
Since they come with different benefits, this is why you will see the 10 hour trial in the Xbox app, but may have access to the full game through Origin.

Thanks!
