Honestly, what are you hoping for? That EA/Codemasters will restore the settings? They will sit out the problem, at most apologize that this problem has occurred and ask us to readjust the settings.
Codemasters/EA should have communicated beforehand that the patch might reset the settings. Assuming EA/Codemasters has tested the patch beforehand.
Other companies do that better (see "important 1/2/3) in first post ....

Hi everyone,
just wanted to clarify that this of course wasn't intended, and we raised this to the team.I can totally understand that it's annoying having to fine-tune all your settings again.
If you haven't updated your game yet, maybe these steps from seichrotierer can help.

To everyone who reads this and hat not yet updated to 1.12:
I saved my settings like this:
- shutdown my network
- started F1 23
- ignored the warnings at startup
- made screenshots of everything
- closed F1 23
- enabled my network
- started F1 23 and let it update
- created new controller and dialed in all values from the screenshots
That's on PC of course, not sure how to do that on the consoles ....

@EA_VendceraAnnoying?! The game has been a buggy mess since release. It's more than annoying to spend a huge amount of money on a game for it not to be up to standard and is actually getting worse by each update. I've not played the game since the update(i won't be the only one), what are EA/Codemasters gonna do about it?

@EA_Vendcera Isn't anyone doing QAT on this stuff before you send it out to the public?? This is an inconvenience, but it's an annoying one that could have easily been avoided!

@Shoegazer75 Yes, I totally get that and the Codemasters team has been made aware so that this hopefully won't ever happen again.
