I’m sorry… but WHAT Codemasters name? You DO realize that CM still makes the game right? And that it’s CM dev team that ignores everything for years even before EA takeover.
Only EA influence is MONETIZATION. Just look at the season pass. Where you normally would get around 10000 pitcoin on the free pass with less levels, now they give you 2500 in total on 50! Levels.
And don’t get me started on the pitcoin i still havent received from simply buying the game. I tried support but they don’t even take you serious, and here it’s no better. Theres so many people who havent gotten their 5000 or 18000 coins yet but nobody gets any help whatsoever

Levels. This part isn't actually true. From the first year of Podium Pass (F1 2020) it has never been possible to earn enough pitcoins from the free tier to buy VIP access for the next. The model has always been that to be self-funding you'd need to buy VIP access to the first Podium Pass season to then be able to earn enough Pitcoins to buy VIP access to the following season, etc. I forget now whether the free/VIP Pitcoin availability was 2500/7500 or something else but at best is was 5000/5000 and definitely not 10000/0.
- ScarDuck142 years agoLegend@Ultrasonic_77 Yup.. pay 9000 get 7500 back plus 2500 from standard pass
What I will say I don't know is whether it now takes more gameplay hours to earn all the Pitcoins in a particular series or not, as I didn't play during series 1 enough to see what it took to max this out.
- @Ultrasonic_77 Its easily done by doing very short F1 World races, they give you about 1750xp when winning the race even 5 lap races which is about a third of level 50 or so and much more on lower levels how much longer that is than the quick ways of previous games i dunno but it definitely isnt way too long
- @gmhsv1 Sadly yes. And a lot of it is pointlessly drawn out.
It's trying to be Gran Turismo (plus Call of Duty with the looty upgrades, a feature I initally thought interesting but got tired of very quickly, it's kid's stuff), but it's just "do 5 races at Austria with diminishing assists" and I drive with no assists anyway, so it's pointless. It's a huge waste of time with little imagination. The one way I hoped it would be made anywhere near playable was through unlocking the difficulty, and that's not happening.
So they've spent god knows how much time and money on another feature that barely anyone will play or find fun, that on top of Sofa Simulator last year, who the hell is signing off these ridiculous ideas?
Codemasters need to go back to basics - career, MyTeam and multiplayer. That's it. Stick to those, fix and improve them. AI behaviour, AI mistakes, better damage model, wet lines, drying lines, sector by sector weather, driver goals, better contract system, better driver acclaim system, offers from other teams instead of being able to pick anyone, I could go on. Stick to the core game and make it the best instead of wasting time and money on this rubbish. Guys one solution is the F1 Official body must revoke the licence from EA/Codies and pass this over to someone that actually cares about F1 and give us Community best ever F1 game we could ever dream, there are great companies that can make an unbelievable F1 game!
I would say writing down a letter to the director of F1 and all regulatory bodies put an petition and end this nonsense of EA/Codies with this unbelievable joke of a game we have year after year! I would say I do not need a every year game what we need is well made and built and engineered F1 game that we can all love and enjoy not a copy paste!

I have actually tried to contact F1/FOM/FIA/Liberty media on that case, eedirecting them to the CM forums technical issues as well as some topics like this.Never had response but believe me, I TRIED!
regarding the pitcoins, i wasn’t all sure, but I knew it was self sustaining each year and I never needed to buy extra because i managed to get it through pass. First was lvl13 and so on, but this year it’s more levels but only 1 2500pc on the free trail.
plus the fact that I never got my 5000 PC from buying the normal version, and a lot no 18000PC, shows that taking your money is easy done, but providing service and giving you what you paid for is just simply arrogant. The customer service makes you want to bang your head to the wall if you see the mail exchange. And still no pitcoins
disgraceful
After this beautiful update, i did more than 5 race, and still have this bug.
+ Scenarios bug, after the race, not got any legendary items...

Was the Goals section working for you on the previous patch, or has it never been unlocked for you?
