Fuel usage in race is broken.

What happened to the laps of fuel you have to start the race with? It was okay in my first season, if I fuelled for approximately half a lap more than race distance, dependant on track, I was usually okay. Maybe had to do a little fuel saving at some point in the race.
Season 2 onwards I need to have anywhere from 5-7 laps EXTRA fuel. I can absolutely guarantee that a Formula 1 car DOES NOT start a Grand Prix with 7 laps MORE fuel than the race distance.

The actual fuel load seems okay for the race, but from a realism perspective it’s absolutely horrible and from a mental perspective I always feel like I have 5-7 more laps of fuel on board than the AI cars which would explain a few of the speed discrepancies early in races so mentally I feel like I am slower because I am heavier.

@tn132 Are you using the base race strategy or using personalized strategy? Because when doing 100% races in GP-Mode the base strategy is also underfueled on some tracks by up to 4 laps but thats rather a too low expectation of fuel usage by the game, not unrealistic high actual fuel usage by the car but it wouldnt surprise me if the expected fuel usage is flawed in career mode too
  • This issue needs more attention. In recent league races, drivers had used completely different fuel levels for their race and some ended up without any fuel at the end of the race, even tho they had +3 laps. While other drivers put between +1,5-2,0 laps in their tank and did not run out.

theres clearly different fuel consumption levels within teams on equal cars or its just another RNG factor of this game. Generally I feel like I have never experienced a more heavy RNG based game than F1 23. Certainly not in this frenchise.
