TrueForce feedback.Patch 1.05 fixed the issues with my G923. I still had save issues on long sessions, but TrueForce worked perfectly and I was able to use the game. With Patch 1.07, that's gone. The wheel is free and unrestricted - except when you open the Main Menu - then it kicks in but only while viewing the menu. The second you exit out of it, the TrueForce completely cuts out.I've been part of this since the first beta and this problem doesn't seem to be big enough for anyone at EA to actually care enough about to fix. I'm tired of feeling like someone who got conned into buying a VERY expensive game and now that you have my money, you're fresh out of give-a-crap. The devs don't respond to our posts, we feel like we're shouting into the wind and no one's listening, and you're actively making the game issues worse for those of us unfortunate enough to have certain Logitech wheel sets. Please, SOMEBODY AT EA, pay attention to these posts and actually address the issue rather than placating us with this "fixes."

@Shoegazer75 the issues a good chunk of the community was having with Trueforce were documented here. A few helpful users were kind enough to provide recordings of their G923 sessions, those posts appear sometime after page 16.Unfortunately the whole thread got locked up due to some users not being able to keep it civil and to got to bicker among themselves.Anyway, this falls on Codemasters and EA. Logitech and Thrustmaster wheels are the gateway to simracing, this lack of full support and compatibility from the get go is unacceptable.

What if there's an update now... 🤭 For what is worth, I had to reset the settings I had on my wheel and tune little things again. Nothing major but it only felt alright after resetting and retuning.

@Shoegazer75 @Shoegazer75 Sorry to hear about that. The only other workaround I can think of as of now is to boot the console and start the game as normally, and only connect the wheel to the Xbox after you're on the menusAlso you and @JerryOTD , bear in mind that FFB and Trueforce are not the same. What you Jerry mention about limited buttons is due to how Xbox wheels have limited support for inputs. It's just the ABXY face buttons, shifters and I think the View and Options that are always available. The others can be made available if the devs enable the Trueforce SDK.What has happened, apparently, is that Patch 1.06 enabled Trueforce but due to the botched implementation of the TF Feedback and numerous complaints, it was completely stripped in 1.07. Hence your buttons not working anymore, Jerry.FFB are the forces and vibrations you get through the steering wheel on any racing game. Trueforce is a different layer of feedback that usually draws data from the audio engine of the game to make the wheel vibrate in response to the car's engine, tires, the track surface etc. It is intended to be a subtle layer of extra feedback.What you're describing @Shoegazer75 seems to be the FFB being cut off, giving you this slack, untethered wheel.I'm confused by this whole situation as wheel, mind you. And it is genuinely disheartening that these issues keep on showing up so long after the release, as the activity on this bugs section of the forum indicates.

@Shoegazer75 I'm so confused, my experience is the complete opposite of yours. I can only play the game now after 1.07. How is this possible?

To the best of my knowledge, I don't think there was ever an firmware update to the G923 itself in the 2 years or so I've owned it. As in, whatever firmware version it shows on G Hub for the wheel has been there for ages.

@RVladimiro that's probably due to the mix up between Trueforce feedback and FFB, plus the settings variability users have. Since the latter are rarely shared on these reports, we all assume our experience is the same.
What hints of that to me is OP commenting on how it's ok on the menus, but things go awry once they hit the track. The game has a blanket set of parameters for the wheel while on the menus, or just use whatever the device default settings are, and has the user profile kicking in once in the car.

I've seen you mentioning elsewhere that you suspect that TF was straight out disabled on this new patch. Indeed that seems to be the case, considering the reports we're seeing here.
As far as I know, Xbox has a tough constraint on their peripherals that end up limiting the number of bindable buttons and RPM lights functionality. The way devs used to work around that on the Logitech side was by using the TF SDK, regardless of the TF feedback being implemented or not.

So it all feels like the TF api was just scissored out 🤷‍♂️

@mariohomohIf thats the case and they have cut TF out for the time being in order to get FFB working....shouldn't they have said that in the patch?
I'm thankful they've got FFB working but people who have purchased TF wheels deserve to know that surely.

@matty0blobber Are you used to that level of detailed breakdown from EA?

I see that happening often with studios like Creative Assembly, Paradox, and iRacing - to name just a few that I have personal experience with.
Not with EA and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

TL;DR: the fact that nothing got mentioned in the patch notes doesn't mean anything.

Nope, my firmware is UTD. Guess in the haste to 'fix' the issues with the G923 they've turned off TrueForce for now as FFB is part of the patch but it's still listed as "Investigating." However, I don't understand how it worked for me before, others have it working now, and no one seems to have an answer.

I don't think that's asking for much considering people are now getting aggy their TF isn't working, could've easily been avoided.

@matty0blobber No one will disagree with you. I don't disagree either, issues and their handling of things have been communicating poorly.

The only divergence here is you finding it odd, while I never came to expect anything better from their patch notes. Or from the majority of other humongous studios out there.

@Shoegazer75 perhaps try creating another FFB profile from scratch in the game menu. So don't duplicate the current one; open the default profile and edit from there, just to test. Same values as your preferred profile.
