I'm having the same issues, I won't bother with specs because it seems across the board. I use VR however, obviously in cockpit view, and due to the drop in frames it has as much "shake" in it as real life helmet cam! I only notice the fog during replays but in VR the "fog" looks like reflections.
I have the same issue in VR. I lowered down Screen Space Reflections or however it's called and it helped to make the game usable.
