Leagueracing bug

When i raced today with my friends in our league "dunderligan" i finished p1 with a 3second penalty. And second place was 24seconds behind me. But when everyone finished i was p2 with a gap of 21seconds to the guy who came p2 and i lost the points for the p1 and lost points in our league. How is this even possible?
