Logitech G923 Strange noises

Summarize your bug Today a patch came out for the Logitech G923, I never had a problem with mine before this. Now after the patch when ever I try to drive my wheel is making grinding sounds it has never done it before it’s also rattling and it sounds like it’s going to brake the wheel, I’ve tried to turn off force feedback to help the issue but that somehow makes it worse, when I go over the rumble strip it’s a thousand times louder than before and even with force feedback and rumble trip effects off. It’s in drivable

Which area is the bug/glitch in? Single Player
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? I’m not sure, try using the Logitech G923 on the game and it should be the same as mine, the game was fine earlier today before the patch
What happens when the bug occurs? Loud grinding and rattling. Sounds like it’s going to break the wheel
What do you expect to see? Undo what ever the patch has done because I loved the game before the patch today now it sounds like it’s going to break my wheel

Hey everyone,

I've double-checked this, and we have confirmation that since the last patch, Trueforce is enabled on PC and PlayStation consoles, and the noise you notice now is from that new feature.
PC players are able to adjust the strength of Trueforce via the GHub software. On PlayStation there is currently no adjustment option, but we are looking into adjustment options in the future.

If you want to lower the strength of Trueforce on PlayStation you can adjust your audio level, this will lower the effect.

Our partner confirmed this behavior to us 👍

@OLLIEJG2006 that sounds like Trueforce kicking in with too much power. Could you try to lower off-track effects and see if it still happens? Or try on a different game that supports Trueforce?

No I have tried that, and that makes it worse. I have tried turning off rumble strip affects and off track effects and it makes it worse. Like I said it was fine before the patch everything was running smoothly

@OLLIEJG2006 ok. I'm on Xbox and although still broken I did a race with the wheel and it felt something was different but no extreme noises. I'll check what you described to see if it's cross platform just in case.

Ok, will this issue be fixed because like I said it’s un-playable and feels like it will damage the wheel

The sounds aswell? Like grinding, rattling and whistles. And if you touch a kerb it sound like a machine gun?

I am having the same issue with my Logitech G923. Right after updating my game today on Playstation, the strange noises started to occur. I tested the wheel on other racing games to see if the problem occurred there as well, but this was not the case. It seems that the problem lies in the recent patch.

Yes, same here mate. Glad this is happening to other people too this means they’ll have to sort it out soon

@OLLIEJG2006 I just raced again with the wheel on Xbox and didn't experience more noises than before and definitely not loud noises. The patch notes say something about Trueforce for PS and PC, so maybe that's related to your experience. Sorry I can't help more. Best of luck PS bros.

Well when’s this going to be sorted, it’s clearly an issue cos atleast 3 of us are having the same problem somthing needs to be done about it
