I can't answer that. SteamVR is the CM implementation across their titles. Not many EA titles have it.
But you should also realise that SteamVR is an implementation of OpenXR anyway. The CM game seems pretty tied to the Steam ecosystem. Even the EA app version of the game uses SteamVR. Whether that changes in the future is anyone's guess as it's clear CM don't just develop on EGO engine now, they used UE4 on WRC.

Thanks for your answer.
what sadden me is that OpenXR was usable in 2022, ,that EA as a big studio should one of the first to push for more VR content which offer such a big experience within their autosport games. And pushing people to use SteamVR when they have their own platform that is kind of strange specially that to user the SteamVR driver as far as I know you have to both the EA and the Steam launcher to be running.
Hopefully 2024 will have the OpenVR back;
