Same problem here. OSD only saves in gp races for me.
EA please fix this problem, its very annoying and spoils a lot of the whole game experience(for me that is, but i think im not alone).
When can we players expect EA to solve this issue?
Im looking forward to issue will be solved.

There is no issue to fix.
Simply toggle the menu between time trial / race /practice / think there’s a few others.
If you want your OSD to change you have to change it about 6 times on multiple different screens.
Crucially you must use your control pad and not your wheel to adjust the settings as wheels do not support the button required to press to make the changes.
Shows how dumb EA are. They make a change and can’t communicate to their player base.
Took me a month of frustration to work out what they had done. The thought is there but EA’s execution again is properly poor.
@EA_rephii please communicate the correct process for the OSD glitch. I shouldn’t have to be coming in here explaining it to everyone.
- @FTR_Chris You legend, thank you! Only just started My Team last night (due to all the bugs in the game so far) and was losing my mind with the OSD not changing.
Just used my controller and there you go - the previously hidden "layout" option is there on R3.PS - that just took me ages to set up across all the different layouts and filters 😿 I wish there was a 'master' layout that would adjust all shared elements
That worked, when I used my controller. Don’t know if assigned my wheel so that option didn’t exist, but with the controller I found it!
