this is unfortunately not acceptable to fans of f1. 11 years we must still have the same circuits with the same curbs. I wonder when most of the circuits will be updated, which unfortunately have curbs that date back 10 years ago, see monza, spa etc.
i cannot believe...
- ScarDuck143 years agoLegend@mikyesposto1 I’m a fan off F1 and it’s acceptable to me 😁

@ScarDuck14From what i think they might actually have nailed red flags in principal.. Not 100% sure as the cuts let a little bit of room for interpretation but it seems like we would be driving back to the pits ourselfes and hopefully back out on track too, letting us choose the likelyhood as well and the system "scanning the track coniditions" sounds also right, hopefully also finetuned correctly..
Gotta say it sounds really well done/worked out :D lets see how it turns out though hahaPS. i gotta say though i dont like that in the later onboards tyre temps were fixed to 95° hahaha worries me slightly lol
PPS. okay i didnt realize the countdown for red flags.. Sadly seems like we dont drive them back ☹️
- mariohomoh3 years agoHero (Retired)@mikyesposto1 I get the frustration, but I'm personally more pet peeved with the two new tracks being made by photogrammetry instead of Lidar/laser scan. Expected more from two brand new tracks being fully made under the EA's umbrella.
Not that there cannot be good applications of photogrammetry-based circuits, but this franchise has rarely been lauded for its road texture and track fidelity 🙃
That said, other sims still sport Bridgestone sponsorship as F1 tyre supplier. So a handful of outdated kerbs isn't exactly the end of the world.
Again, just expected to see a stronger commitment with new content. Let's see how it turns out.
The new handling and the new pad features seem top notch though. What a mic drop by Greco 💕 - ScarDuck143 years agoLegend@mariohomoh Stop being so miserable…. Come here and I’ll give you a sensual massage 🙏
- mariohomoh3 years agoHero (Retired)@ScarDuck14 I eat chicken breast and eggs everyday all week. I want my video games to be flavorful and not incremental upgrades with a full price tag 😂
Being real though, feels like it will be a moderate banger.
Great gameplay as the fully realized handling that Greco wanted for F122, all powered by and enabled by those under the hood improvements he worked his backside off last year: more data points for the load sensitivity and tyre model, hitboxes actually aligning with chassis and underfloor, etc. The trailer even references that when they go over the physics and handling.
Incremental improvements on single and multiplayer experiences though. This one is just a bet, and I'll absoluty love to be proven wrong 🫶 - ScarDuck143 years agoLegend@mariohomoh Rain on camera still looks stupid
Quite an encouraging trailer I thought 🙂. Mostly for the work that has gone into the handling changes but it looks like Las Vegas should be visually impressive too. Which will probably be handy if the track turns out to be rather poor to drive. The side-by-side shots also demonstrated a pleasing improvement to the colours used too I thought, giving the game a more realistic look.

- ScarDuck143 years agoLegend
@Ultrasonic_77I’d prefer that: Over rain drops rolling down the camera and not reacting to the physics.
But overall I’m quite excited. Knowing how the handling feels this year.

@mariohomoh... I'm quietly looking forward to F1 23, I actually got a tiny bit of excitement when I saw the trailer. I will never pre-order though...

Hope the Red Flag doesn't come out because of the rain when Im 40 seconds ahead and pulling away.

One thing I was very pleased to see in the trailer was an option to turn red flags off 🙂.
- ScarDuck143 years agoLegend@BadMayh3m That’s exactly what will happen. Your going to get a race per season where heavy rain to bring out red flag will be scripted
- BadMayh3m3 years agoSeasoned Ace@ScarDuck14 Yeah, when most of the Red Flag is scripted I would not be 😯
I was trying to be sarcastic....oh well. - ScarDuck143 years agoLegend@fujipandasan There was alot off new stuff concerning handling and physics.
- ScarDuck143 years agoLegend@fujipandasan It’s just marketing., If everything was announced now. People would stop talking about the game within days. By drip feeding new info leading up to the game release keeps people interested and talking about it more thus creating more awareness
- ScarDuck143 years agoLegend@fujipandasan Next reveal video will be on 19th I believe.
Don’t expect much different in myteam or career. This years focus looks to be on handling and physics along with Breaking point 2. - BadMayh3m3 years agoSeasoned Ace
There is a really funny part of the video but might be to subtle for some.
EA finally gave their opinion on Thomas Ronhaar cheating by putting him in the vid.
With the controversy going on and Im pretty sure they had enough time to remove his spot there is hardly any other conclusion to come to.
But I've been mistaken before🤔
- ScarDuck143 years agoLegend@BadMayh3m I did think the same
@fujipandasan wrote:There actually anything we did not already know about the game that was in this deep dive? I do not think they presented any new features.
I'd argue the biggest focus was on something much more important: highlighting major changes to the car handling. I suspect this may well end up being the biggest reason for people to want the new game.
Other than red flags and 35% race distances I think we'll learn about the functional changes more in the next video.

Yeah, the handling looks alteady different from the few we can get from the video, it looks easier to go full throttle. They also say there should be more predictable behavior, I’m wondering if braking will be improved as well, also setting side. Fingers crossed 🙂
- ScarDuck143 years agoLegend@Nuvolarix The Handling is awesome 😎
