Make sure you are running the most recent firmware/drivers for your setup:

Thanks.
I already did a couple of times, but it still happends

I have updated my firmware for the T300RS to the latest version (V34) and is still going numb after 5-10 laps of a grand prix/time trial.
Do those having the issue have the fan set to be on constantly? This is advisable. Hot weather may also be a factor depending where you live. FFB does fade if the wheel gets too hot.
I haven't noticed an issue using a T300 with PS5 myself for what it's worth.

Fully agreed with ULTRASONIC_77
On the T300 with F1 23 you should Turn On the "Forced" Cooling Mode.
Explanations:
On F1 23, with the T300 & the TX, the power of the Force Feedback effects automatically decreases (to protect the motor of the wheel) more quickly than on F1 22.This is because, on this new edition, the Force Feedback is stronger than on F1 22, with lot of more spring effects, and so the wheel is hot much faster and reaches a much higher temperature level.
Full details here: https://ts.thrustmaster.com/faqs/eng/thr_eng_00156.pdf
Will also affect strongly the FFB fade:
- The hot weather of the room where you play
- The weight of the wheel rim you are using. Quick example: TM OPEN WHEEL (the weight in only 0,8Kg) - SF1000 WHEEL (the weight is upper 1,2Kg)
- @FisherSnake
Its not the heat, this years game just simply can't handle FFB for whatever reason.
Feels really weak using heat as an excuse for the game being broken imo, i guarantee all these wheels/rigs work fine on 22 but not 23...funny that. - carperson4883 years agoSeasoned Rookie
This seems to have fixed the issue I was having, I will test it more throughout today and tomorrow, I will keep you updated.

After a few more hours if testing its still a problem, goes light after 10ish laps and sometimes after I flashback or make a pitstop the ffb is back ro normal for a lap or 2
I have the same problem with the same steering wheel, have you found a solution? or do you know if they will fix it?

Have you followed the advice above re. the fan?
yes but the problem is not solved

I haven't found a proper fix yet so it's probably a game issue
- @carperson488 Thanks that’s helpful to know!

I have the same problem with the T300RS on the PlayStation 5. I have the fan on constantly. I also installed a strong Noctua fan without success. In other games, such as Assetto Corsa on PC, the force feedback continues to work strongly as normal over 5 hours of play.
Is it fixed with the last update?
- void_snw3 years agoRising Scout@matty0blobber It most certainly is the heat. T300 is well known for its FFB fading when run high. What we would need to know is their settings. In F1 23 if you go somewhere over 60 in the main force, the T300 is gonna clip all the time and definitely cause overheating quickly, especially when you don't have the fan always on or it's very warm in your room.
No, it's not the heat. I have tried with the “fan always” mode of the steering wheel and the same thing happens, it has to be a game problem, because also in other games where I have the ffb even higher it does not happen.
- @void_snw its not, its the game 100%, these wheels work fine on other games and older F1 games.

Having the fan on doesn't rule out hear being the cause. This really does sound like expected behaviour when the wheel gets too hot. Is it warm where you live right now? Have you tried reducing the FFB strength?
When you reduce the strength of the ffb it improves, in the end it continues to lose strength but takes longer to do so. Anyway, no, my room was in a good temperature so that can't be the problem. I am 100% convinced that it is the game.
- void_snw3 years agoRising Scout@matty0blobber Again, we'd need to know their settings and ambient temp to rule that out. Other games do this too, and it's not uncommon with the T300. The fan on the T300 is simply insufficient.
The problem is with the game. In addition to everything mentioned above, if you go to Montmelo circuit, the ffb is lost quite quickly, but for example in Monza, at least in my case it does not lose ffb even though I am playing 3 hours in a row. It can only be a game error

- void_snw3 years agoRising Scout@Josu_11011 Just to remind everyone, tyre wear also affects the FFB in a similar way FFB fading would. This was not as pronounced in the other F1 games, and since there's less understeer effect with the new FFB engine, the peaky tyre feel fades away from it as well. Would be funny if this was the issue.
@void_snw it happens in time trial so it can’t be tyre wear
