- LordPhoenix-TH663 years agoRising Veteran@ScarDuck14 Do you have any news yet?
- ScarDuck143 years agoLegend@LordPhoenix-TH66 Yes…. Your videos and other information have been passed over to Codemasters… The ticket is still open. Which means they are still investigating the issue.
- LordPhoenix-TH663 years agoRising Veteran@ScarDuck14 It could be that something is finally happening :/

Hey @LordPhoenix-TH66,
The videos you've provided are a bit older by now and from an older patch.
Is the behavior on Canada for example still the same despite patches being released since then? - LordPhoenix-TH663 years agoRising Veteran@EA_rephii yes
- AllenB2609823 years agoNew Traveler
it is still the same. Same problem in Paul Ricard and Portimao in low speed corners with full TC.

Hey @LordPhoenix-TH66,
I don't know if you added that already, but are you able to share your calibration settings for your controller in game and the assistants you currently set up for F1 23?
Our team hasn't really been able to reproduce your shown behavior, but we are still trying to figure out, what could cause this.

- LordPhoenix-TH663 years agoRising Veteran@EA_rephii Yes of course
I basically didn't change anything in the calibrations.
I've experimented with different settings, but nothing helped.
I drive like in F1 2016 - F1 22 with full traction control, with ABS and low brake assist.
You can see my settings in my comparison videos of F1 22 and F1 23.
It's all in German because I'm Austrian. - ScarDuck143 years agoLegend
Think @EA_rephii be fine understanding a little German 😂
@EA_rephii I replicate what the videos show using default pad settings on PS5 using both performance and quality modes. Only setting that isn’t default would be FOV in camera settings which I have at -15 in centered offset cam.
- Rapheal6293 years agoNew Scout@ScarDuck14 You're saying this only happens with Full TC, but I'm getting slip in low speed corners with Medium TC too, in fact more so with Medium TC and I'm on a pad. I know there's less downforce in slow speed, but in Alex Gillon's initial thoughts video on traction he could get on the power in 3rd gear with 70% throttle input in turn 2 at Bahrain, if I did that it would either swap ends or I catch it, but be half a second down in turn 3 onwards. Either I'm doing something wrong or I've got fooled into thinking the throttle curve was made simpler to get the power down without so much wheel-spin. I dunno, it's a mystery as to why I can't seem to drive these cars when it was promised the pad will be closer to wheel users, perhaps it's me, *shrugs*
- ScarDuck143 years agoLegend
@Rapheal629It will happen with medium TC aswell. But with medium you are going to be more gentle with your inputs so shouldn’t really be as much as an issue. I drive with no TC and have muscle memory to know when I can get on the power. It’s also easier to feel what the rear end is doing. Problem I find with medium is the lack of feel so find it harder to know when it’s breaking traction. So it’s easier to get caught out. On pad I personally think it’s either No TC or Full TC that are the best two options. Well it would be if Full TC didn’t have this issue described in this thread
- Rapheal6293 years agoNew Scout@ScarDuck14 Medium TC lack of haptic to tell you when the car's about to break traction? Should I just turn it off then and try to be tentative on my inputs?
- ScarDuck143 years agoLegend@Rapheal629 I can’t tell you that. Everyone is different. Play the game how it feels best for you. I would just say experiment until what you find what gives you most fun 🤩
- Rapheal6293 years agoNew Scout@ScarDuck14 I know you can't and I am not even the least offended if you did tell me to turn it off, I can't see any point in Medium if there's a lack of feel of breaking traction, any tips to keep the rear behaved, just be tentative on the inputs, is that all there really is?
- ScarDuck143 years agoLegend
@Rapheal629Play around with controller settings. Increase Throttle linearity is a must in calibration settings. Then in FFB reducing max wheel rotation to 270-330. Everything else in those settings is very personal.
Depending on what camera you use. If you like most off us use TVpod reduce Field of view by -10 will help you be more precise and consistent in the corners. Fine tune it to find what suits you best…. Personally I like TV pod -10 FOV. Angle -20 and height +20. Which are same settings E-Sports Marcel Keifer uses. Or Jarno Opmeer who uses offset tvpod. -12 lateral (centers camera) -20FOV -11 angle.
I like both but I personally use TV offset -12 lateral. Then -15 FOV -15 angle and -15 height.
Getting the right camera settings are hugely important for being more consistent at hitting your marks - LordPhoenix-TH663 years agoRising Veteran@EA_rephii Did the team also see my two videos with the McLaren?
There you can see it better and also the same settings. - Rapheal6293 years agoNew Scout@ScarDuck14 I turned off camera shake for a start, that kind of help because now it's consistent whereas the shake threw me off. I didn't find increasing Throttle Linearity to make much difference, I do need to be patient on the throttle even if the delta goes red and that just makes me want to stamp the throttle (I know bad idea with Medium TC out of slow corners), I need to learn to trail brake too, it's just time that's limited for me to practice a lot of laps to be able to put all this into place. Appreciate your suggestions, what throttle linearity worked for you? Maybe I can adapt myself to that
- ScarDuck143 years agoLegend@Rapheal629 I use 65
- LordPhoenix-TH663 years agoRising Veteran@EA_rephii Do you have any news yet?
- LordPhoenix-TH663 years agoRising Veteran@EA_rephii Did you finally fix the problem?
- ScarDuck143 years agoLegend@LordPhoenix-TH66 We won’t know until it’s fixed and game is updated. Case of having to be patient.
- LordPhoenix-TH663 years agoRising Veteran@ScarDuck14 The new patch is here and it hasn't been fixed.
- ScarDuck143 years agoLegend@LordPhoenix-TH66 Doesn’t surprise me. This guy dare say is a low priority fix for them. It will come in due course. Hardly any fixes on the new patch. Except one huge one for F1 difficulty balancing. They have most probably been focused on that
- LordPhoenix-TH663 years agoRising Veteran@ScarDuck14 So did Codemasters find the bug?
- ScarDuck143 years agoLegend
@LordPhoenix-TH66Have no idea mate. Ticket is still open so they are still working on it. Either they have and are working on a fix or they haven’t and just havnt told us. Won’t get anything from @EA_rephii as its bank holiday where he works
