This sounds like you have not yet set up your headphones correctly.

I have the problem that when I create a multiplayer lobby in Formula 1 23, I no longer hear any sound from applications outside the game.

Also, the sound in the game sounds very muffled compared to the menu sound.

I use the "SONY WH-1000XM5" in Combination with Dolby Atmos on my Win 11 PC.

Tbh i never had such issues with any other game (for example: assetto corsa, automobilista, the crew 2, forza horizon 5, project cars 2....) and my headphones are "set up...correctly".
