Split screen lag at race starts

Platform:Sony Playstation 4
Please specify your platform model. Sony PlayStation 4
Summarize your bug Race starts are extremely laggy in split screen. It only gets better after about half a lap
What is your 16 digit Report Code?
Can you please provide the name of your current internet service provider?
Which area is the bug/glitch in? Single Player
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Play split screen las vegas
What happens when the bug occurs? The game sim speed slows down significantly at the start of the race
What do you expect to see? The game slows down

    Hey there,

    We are going to need more info to reproduce this issue. Does this happen in every single track or only in Vegas? Does it happen on every mode as long as you play split screen?

    IN ALL RACES! I have the same issue in both consoles. XBOX ONE and XBOX SERIES X. This is so disrespectful.

    @EA_Groguet It is HORRENDOUS! I have to say that I am sooooo disappointed of this game. It sucks to play split screen. Last time I played 16 tracks in this mode and the first track was the only one that worked. I’m sure you won’t fix this.

    @soycheko Agreed, this is extremely dissatisfying. All you need to do is play a few split screen races and drive through smoke and it’s a laggy mess. Just disable the smoke if you can’t fix it - pretty simple.

    Summarize your bug The game becomes extremely laggy when a driver goes off the track when playing in split screen mode
    What is your 16 digit Report Code?
    Can you please provide the name of your current internet service provider?
    Which area is the bug/glitch in? Multiplayer
    Did you have cross-play enabled? No
    Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Start a 2-player split screen game. Select F1 2023 Grand Prix at Hungaro Ring. No qualifying - and a "short" format (25%) Start the race and one player runs wide a turn 1 and the game stalls
    What happens when the bug occurs? It becomes unplayable due to massive lag (<5 FPS)
    What do you expect to see? No lag

    I have made a small video of the problem. I stopped the video a little early but you already see the lag. Try it for yourself.

    Merged as this is console lag until proven to be something more specific.

    Apparently it is solved by doing a one-shot qualifying which again indicates that it is a bug/poor programming from EA

    That's something that can be used. I did say until you found something more specific. I can't replicate because I don't have a console.
