Solved

Unable to assign left/right steering for my wheelbase.

I am using Asetek Forte Pedals, wheelbase and steering wheel and i can assign both pedals and buttons on the steering wheel, however i am unable to have it register when i turn my wheel.

I have previously played F1 22 with my current setup in which i had no issues at all (i also checked to see if it was working just now - and it is). Further, i play a bunch of other racing games in which there are no issues either.

As of now i have tried a number of different things that i was told might fix it, none of them have. The things i have done are the following (most of them multible time): Reinstalling the game, rebooting the game, repairing the game, rebooting the wheelbase software, making sure everything is fully updated, rebooting the PC, entering a race and trying it from the settings in there as well as unplugging all other peripharels connected to my pc.

I am simply at a loss of what else i can do to make it work, and since it works in any other game, including previous F1 title, i have to assume that the error is caused by the game (the fact that i can find multiple other people with the same issues indicate that aswell).

  • Ended up finding a fix that worked for me.

After having (i thought) litterally tried everything i decided that i was tired of having to navigate the menus with my keyboard and therefore set up all the navigation on the wheel itself.

This made me think that maybe it would work if i decided to restart the game and never use another periphiral than the wheel and wheelbase itself, and finally it worked.

Seems that navigating the menus and using no other periphirals than the wheel itself might be the solution if you experience this (it was for me).

@skovmyrene It’s been a long standing thing when have other peripherals connected when using a wheel. As far as I know most wheel users use their wheel to navigate the menus etc.
