Unable to connect to Online Services since Coop mate delete his account

Good evening community and EA support,  

I am posting this for a friend, as he is not on the forum.  

The following problem: I have been unable to start F1 23 since yesterday evening.

After starting the game, I get to the point where I have to press any key to continue. After I have done this, the message "Connecting to online services..." appears at the top left of the screen. I can't continue here. No matter what I do, nothing happens. 

As I said, the problem has existed since yesterday.

I was in a coop Savegame with another player whose account is no longer available, the account was deleted.

Since then, my account does not seem to connect to the services.  

Platform: PC/EA App

Affected account: DonSvenjo

Closed account: MelgoreGL  

Both players were in a coop Multiplayer career save game.  

I have already completely uninstalled F1 23. I have deleted all associated files. I have re-downloaded the game and tried again without success.  

However, I can start the game "offline".

I disconnected the LAN cable when starting the game. This at least takes me to the F1 main menu. When I then connect the LAN cable, the above message appears again and the game does not continue.  

I have already uninstalled the EA app, logged in and out, cleared the cache and all that.  

EAFC, on the other hand, works without any problems. I have an EA Play Pro subscription. 

So I have no way of playing the game online. Please help me urgently.  

It seems that the deleted account is hindering my online profile or the loading of my profile.

    Hopefully we ca get a clear support and help. My mate descriped our topic in every detail.

    I tried everythin he wrote but the probem is still there.

    So we are not able to play F1 23 online together.

  • DonSvenjo chatted with support last night.

    Unfortunately, they couldn't help there either. App cache should be deleted, we have already done this.

    A link to this forum was sent here and it was pointed out to keep an eye on social media.

    The result is anything but satisfactory. He has an EA Play Pro membership, which he cannot use as advertised.

    Please take the matter up as soon as possible and take it seriously. This is really not the way to treat customers.

    Hey there @MelgoreFUT and @DonSvenjo 

    If a coop save game was created and one of the accounts was deleted, it is normal for the other to end in an endless spin, as both accounts tied to that coop state need to be active.

    However, other online modes should work perfectly. Can you confirm the other online modes don't work as they should?

    No other online mode works.

    The problem is that I press any button after the start screen and the game tries to connect to the online services. But from then on I am in an endless loop until I disconnect the PC from the network. From then on I can play offline. As soon as I reconnect the network and select an online mode, the game tries to reconnect to the online services, which puts me back into the endless loop.
    The problem started to be there when the old account "MelgoreGL" with which I played the co-op career was deleted.

    At the end the game is not playable.

    @EA_Groguet Thanks for your feedback. As DonSvenjo already wrote, after the game has started it does not get past the message as shown in the screenshot. Can you delete the faulty savegame from the cloud or something similar? Then DonSvenjo should be able to reconnect to the server.

    We have just tested the following: I logged in with DonSvenjo's account on my computer.

    The error is unchanged: The game starts, then you are supposed to press any key to continue, then the message "Connecting to online services..." appears and here it does not continue. I can't press anything or anything similar, see screenshot in the first post.

    If I disconnect my LAN cable, I get the message that the connection to the server cannot be established.  If I click on "cancel" I am in the main menu and can use offline features.

    It is noticeable that some game settings are loaded from the server.

    I deleted all files from the MyGames/F123 directory before starting the game.  Steering wheel settings including button mapping, sound settings and so on were probably downloaded and applied to my game.

    If I log in to my account "MelgoreFUT", the game starts normally and I can use all online services of F1 23.

    We started a new coop career and today everythin looked fine. It seem that the issue has been fixed now.

    Hopefully at saturday it will be the same but i have a good feeling this moment.
