Every now and then you get spoiled. Like 2012 was a pretty stellar season for ages... and then the next few were really uncompetitive with only one team a real contender. If either Nico/Lewis was far superior to the other then they'd be regarded as the dark days of boring domination. The fact they were close-ish was the only saving grace. You had a brief flicker that Ferrari might be able to do something... but they're Ferrari, so they won't. Then a few average years until the snorefest that was 2020, which is only saved by the fact we were happy to even have a season.
Then you had 2021 with two teams on par and the sport interest rocketed... then a few drab years until the second half of last season where it picked up a little.Maybe we're due for another dour 2-3 years.
I expect next season to be half-decent as if it's engine-based and if Merc have the ascendancy then Merc, McLaren and Alpine (and maybe even Williams) aren't all a shambles anymore and can battle while the other engines catch up.
That being said, I think the racing itself won't be great in terms of a spectacle. However, I hope i'm wrong on that. Those F1 cars are way too large for this circuit
Those F1 cars are at the end of current regulations. Remember 2013, with disgusting 9 wins in a row, 2020 with championship that was decided after couple of races.

Not the most exciting Canadian GP. Those F1 cars are way too large for this circuit. I don't know why but it gave me Monaco vibes.
At least, we got some drama on the last few laps. Races ending under SC are not really what we wanted but that's how it is.
Austrian GP is next. It has a lot of overtake possibilities. I'm really looking forward to it. milky669 This thread is for discussing the real world F1 season so I don't think you will get a lot of feedback on the game here, but if you want to discuss your concerns about the direction the game is headed in your welcome to create a new topic.

I don't understand the people who make the decisions on this game. These people are just as bad as Ferrari is in making the right calls. Career mode, my team, I can no longer race for myself? I have to sign 2 drivers and race as one of them. As I'm sure some welcome this change and there's nothing wrong in adding features like this, but why take away what already was? Why can't you guys just add, instead of adding, but then subtracting something else. I don't get it. The one thing that should have been long gone is that fanzone. I must say I'm surprised it's still here. It's proof you people don't listen to us, the users of your garbage game. It's getting way more arcade like and most of us won't like that.

I'm regularly wrong, but i'm expecting very little.
The front-runners will go around in a procession around 2 seconds apart. They'll hold station until the first wave of pit stops.
The drivers outside the points in around 12th to 15th will pit slightly earlier in an attempt to undercut. The drivers from 8th to 10th will react and free up space for the front-runners to pit into. The ones at the front go first because they'll have first-dibs. Only really a pit-stop error, or the hesitation to pit in case one happens will affect this.
Then a period of calm and by the second stops the front-runners already have a pit-stop window to go into so the ones at the front wait for the one in second to jump and then hope 2-3 seconds is enough to avoid undercut, which it should be.
So pretty processional but the mechanics earn their vending-machine money twice being the only difference.Sure, a crash could liven it up and change that but I don't think people push it that much at Monaco outside of qualifying and the first corners and the cars are too big for wheel-to-wheel racing and can barely follow.
Maybe a rookie gets abit trigger happy and bins it. Seems unlikely though as even Franco wouldn't do something stupid this time out.So, guaranteed best race of the year contender coming up!

Expecting crazy race, but probably just a roulette...

Almost time to see is making Monaco a 2 stop race is going to have the desired effect. I suspect teams will probably do soft, medium medium

Colapinto runs on Alpine. Will the 25th game on PS have Colapinto?
Hey there,
As the switch to Alpine is marked as temporary, we will not be substituting Colapinto into the Alpine seat for the time being. Unlike F1 24, Franco is in the game as part of F2 2024 from launch, so fans can race as him in Driver Career or recruited to their team in My Team 2.0.
