Ai tyre temps..
Idk about others but knowing that the AI get perfect tyre grip temperatures locked in is making this game A LOT worse for me.. I dont give a damn if the AI has slightly higher wear due to contact pat...

One thing I'll add here is that the AI are not always locked to ideal temperatures; their temperature is defined by the compound and track conditions. In the example of staying out on Inters with a drying track, the AI will also see their tyres overheat and wear out more quickly. They would only be at 65° when the track is wet enough that the player's tyres would also be running at 65° during normal driving.
We've seen very similar relative performance and wear changes for player and AI so far when testing these kind of circumstances.
@cm_caseyringley that's reassuring, but I hope it does mean that the player can leave tyre simulation on for good this time around.
In the past entries there was no point leaving that on when playing single player as no matter how realistic the handling was, it would still amount to handicapping oneself while the AI could go on on their trains scot free.
I know AI isn't your department, but we can all agree that if the improvements make it so that we just don't have an additional reason to turn off tyre temps in single player (as in the deviation becoming even bigger), but still need to toggle it off to have reasonable AI performance, then Meza has a point. Those potential handling improvements will be kind of wasted on a good chunk of the player base.
Summing it up, the handling improvements for the player need to come in tandem with a reworked AI, otherwise career mode players will not see a true step forward in their experience in the long run.
Every year on average 600hours going round and round mainly in Myteam but this year it will be career
Simple example as they are 2 races next to eachother on roster.
Hungary and Belgium.
Belgium I can dominate Ai110 however Hungary I get beat by Ai80 mainly down to tyre temps.
what’s more I can turn tyre temps to surface only and result is Ai100. Which is where I set Ai for most races.
Spa I can race at Ai110 because I have no temp issues at Spa (Plus my best track)
@cm_caseyringley thank you also for replying to Meza thread.
Previous years many people post complaining that Ai is unbalanced across the season when more often than not they do not realise the handicap human players face

First thing, I really appreciate the points y'all are making here.
Also love to hear we have modders in the mix. 🙂 Have a long history with modding myself, and I'm eager to see what you do with the new model features. Just shout if any questions come up after release when you start poking around in the data.
