Ai tyre temps..
Idk about others but knowing that the AI get perfect tyre grip temperatures locked in is making this game A LOT worse for me.. I dont give a damn if the AI has slightly higher wear due to contact pat...

Second, that would definitely make most people with similar worries a lot happier! However i wonder how far its depending on the track conditions? Like how much does it have to differ from normal track conditions for the AI to have changing temps? A fully scripted rise/fall in temps for the AI or actually dynamic behaviour? If the results are very similar this is kinda encouraging, personally id like it as dynamic as for the player much more though - mostly because i like to mod even more accuracy into the cars and especially race pace/quali pace differences are IMO easiest to simulate with carcass temps differing (of course theres much more to it than that!)
The dynamic a career mode or even just GP races would have, fully depending on the temps (searing heat in Hungary or freezing cold in Vegas) if e.g. Merc do well or cant take a traction zone without wheel spin.. The whole balance of the field should depend on track conditions (just not as extreme as my example😅)

First thing, I really appreciate the points y'all are making here.
Also love to hear we have modders in the mix. 🙂 Have a long history with modding myself, and I'm eager to see what you do with the new model features. Just shout if any questions come up after release when you start poking around in the data.

But dont expect anything crazy from me, there are far more capable modders than me but even if the tyre temps might prove to scripted to get race pace differences out of (at least a tiny bit should work because of the heat wear that should be different depending on track conditions) i will enjoy modding the 2020 Merc, 2021 RB or 2018/2019 Ferrari performances (at least as far as possible without playing with the whole suspension characteristics) just love the different dynamics and even whole season grids of those (sadly thats not possible at the accuracy as a car that only i will drive because the AI cant cope with most changes like more/less downforce etc.)
