F2 carrer mode

Hello everyone

I wanted to know what is the purpose of the F2 career mode. I found out that whatever we do in F2, we'll have a F1 seat at the end of the season, with the possibility to choose any team with any teammate, and it's completely **bleep**.

Also, the F2 stats are not saved when we go in F1.

So, what is the interest of the F2 carrer, except tor possibility to start our F1 career with a higher note than 65 ?

Do you think all of this could be fixed in F1 27 ?

Thank you !

p.s. I've been doing custom races recently and I can tell you the races are very interesting when you pick an AI level that results in midfield finishes. Starting P10 or lower at Monaco is definitely the kind of challenge that you seek.

If you challenge yourself with a high AI level and don't finish well, your options are restricted for the second season in career mode. So, the feature that you want is partially in the game. (I'm guessing that most people respond to limited options for the second season by starting over.)

I admire your desire for a realistic challenge, but EA is just trying to avoid frustrating casual players especially all the new fans of the real-world F1 that are first-time buyers of these games.

Absolutely, but I wanted to say it could be better if the game decides itself which teams want to sign us (one or many), instead of letting us choosing

Yeah admittedly im in the same boat but you can always restrict the teams you can choose yourself to one of the lower teams.

  • F0urm1ssou:  Given that Mercedes' decision to promote Antonelli was initially seen as a huge gamble, I agree that it would be more realistic if you couldn't join one of the better F1 teams. However, that would turn F2 into a requirement instead of an option.

Yep, but we shouldn't be able to choose for free, it'll be better if teams themselves propose us contracts

It doesn't cost a lot to EA to add these features

  • Its to add some additional level of realism to those that want a more in depth experience.

As for being able to join any team. Its realistic to the real sport with Lindblad and Antonelli joining red bull and Mercedes respectively
