- @IanM282 This thread really just shows how much passionate this community is with this franchise. Not only because it's the only one fully licensed where you can actually drive the car, but because we here really like F1. If no one here really cared about the game, no one would really say much in this thread.
Instead, we have a massive thread with a lot of insights of what should be modified, what should be removed and what should be added. But the devs should still be more open to talk to us.
I know they send representatives to come here and say "We are passing this info to them". Ok, what now? What conclusion did they take? Are they actually trying to implement them? Are they actually thinking about removing some features of non importance to add better features? Because simples modders just do this in so little time, like modifying dirty air effect, slipstream, DRS, ERS.
If they came here and be more specific about what they're trying to do, we would gain more trust in them, and that's what missing at the moment. We have no trust in the development of F1 25.
I'm not expecting the sales to be the same as F1 20 or even F1 21, that were different times. Different booms in sales. We had COVID, everyone was at home, DTS came out and caught many people attention, and that's why F1 20 and F1 21 got so much sales. Even if F1 25 would be a really good step up from what we've been having lately, it will not reach the numbers of that two games, maybe not even from F1 22. - IanM2824 months agoSeasoned Ace
@TomasSlb24Agreed, you also touched on a very good point there regarding those who are able to modify and edit things on the game to improve it. Unfortunately for me and a lot of others who play on consoles are stuck with the game in its current state, which is absolutely rubbish.
The fact that the modders who created these adjustments to improve things can generally do it easily and in no time, says a lot about the mindset of EA who are more interested in creating Fanzone than rectifying everything that is wrong with the game in the first place.
If these people can improve the game in what is probably every area, why can't the game be programmed much better by the developers in the first place?
They honestly should just hire a passionate F1 fan as part of their team who has knowledge of the sport. Since EA took over it's as far away from F1 as I've ever known. Hey, I applaud them for asking. Not all firms would care to find out. Hopefully some of these ideas can get into future games. I understood from 2021 that FOM set constraints on what could be done.
To be honest I really like f1 24 obviously it could be improved. For improvements in the future (future games) I feel like we should be able to actually change the look of our my team car like sidepods ect. These models can be taken from the 2022 cars and 2023 cars this would be a fun idea at least. And for more creativity it would awesome to have the option in audio settings to go from v6 engines to v8 and v10 or even v12, this would be something console users would love to see. As for the menus I think take a good look at 2012 and see what made that games menus look awesome, even though it’s a old look f1 2012 really has a great opening screen and menu, I’m sure it would look just as good in 2025 or 2026. The handling is fine I guess other than some rear end stability that’s about it. This may never be looked at by the creators of f1 games but if it is this is what really would be cool. This all could be added up from late 2025 and further even though it takes time, time makes a good game. Maybe instead of making a new game ever year release a game called Formula 1 and have features from current f1 games but make it so you can play different eras. I wouldn’t care if you had to pay to play the 2016 era so as long as it’s with the new graphics and I can change form 2016 to 2023 for example. Make it so that you have one game and you pay to unlock different f1 seasons. A lot of people may not like paying but it would potentially be one of the best things to do and yolo it.
So yea that’s what I guess I would want do read it if you’d don’t want to i don’t really care it’s just what would be nice to see in the game.
@IanM282 wrote:EA definitely won't see it this way, but the correlation is so abundantly clear, that since they took over this game franchise, it has gone rapidly downhill faster than the overpowered AI in F122!
There are so many issues and things that absolutely have to be improved. I've never known any other game of any type of genre on the planet with as many bugs. Additionally some of the bugs the game launched with is an absolute joke.
Literally rushed out with zero care and attention and then charge the loyal customers £90! Oh and while they're at it, let's destroy the online store and make people grind for helmets and race wear.
My absolute biggest gripe since EA took over and destroyed it, is their absolute persistence in coming up with gimmicks and unrealistic material that doesn't belong in specifically an F1 game.
If they just concentrated on doing the basics correct instead of wasting recourses on the nonsense they keep churning out, then everyone would be delighted.
F125 has to be a night and day improvement in absolutely every area throughout. From the addition of more helmets, more general race wear, dramatically improved AI, better engine sounds and a much improved handling model, just to name a few.
My bet is all the suggestions within this thread will be completely ignored and they will dream up another load of fictional twaddle to try and implement into F125.
I'm afraid if that is the case then F125 will sell even less than F124. It's absolutely in their own interests to deliver a game that actually works and to implement what people have been asking for.
F1 25 will just bring polished handling and whatnot. But all those fundamental changes that were suggested here is due somewhere beyond F1 26. Sad but true. 😑

@Blackbird90Couldn't agree more. If it is that way, then I along with many others, I would imagine won't be buying it for top price, or at all.
If only they actually listened and cared about their customers, they could increase their profits massively. My bet is F125 will be another disaster due to absolute failure to listen to the community (again)! The community issues page finally got updated with absolutely nothing, no new issues despite GLARING issues in career mode and just in general. Very upsetting still nothing about #1 or drivers not retiring like in real life. What are we actually doing here man.
Just seen the update to the community issues....
Have to laugh now...
No new updates since 1.10 broke the game.
CM/EA have no interest in F124 anymore and you can tell.
Needless to say, the playerbase is slowly reducing too
- Focus on getting the core racing game just right
- scrap modes not being played enough (you have the data on this)
Im mostly playing in co-op career, so im biased in getting that right.
- AI needs an overhaul in general, would love to see real F1 data from the actual driver being used for the AI model of the particular driver.
- AI are too aggresive bumping into you from behind, ramming you so you spin off without them receiving any penalty, this needs to be adressed.
- AI speed needs to be more levelled for each track, at the moment AI speed is fast for some tracks and slow for others, even when running with the same AI level.
- Add the ability to turn off race engineer if the engineer is not updated vs. now (very repetitive stuff being said)
- Enhance the replay feature, it's way too simple. Please let us watch a full replay, at the moment there is lots of incidents not picked up by the AI selecting the clips to be shown. Allow us to switch cars during replay
- Lap records needs to be saved for each track, and whenever a new record has been set it will overwrite the old. Use lap record data + time and which car/team was used to be shown when loading into a GP.
- Consider adding a spotter, could be very useful especially for race starts and the first few corners
- Setups needs to be much more harder to get right, maybe consider making it being different for each car as to what has been developed for the car and what is installed currently.
- Consider adding more imersion to the career mode with adding Pre-season testing (this can be useful in R&D and setups knowledge and the engineering side of the team)
- Add more choices for selecting tracks in career mode for a season (currently there is only a few) - let's us have the choice to select which races will be sprint races, and maybe add other tracks as DLC
- Add much more imersion into the R&D and team management in general, this could include things such as a budget cap, where you have to manage facilities, personel, pit crew etc.
- R&D should be much more advanced (or at least have the option to be so) and also be much more randomized for each team, make this much deeper.
- For the budget cap, crashes and wings usage will cost money taken from the budget, so it will hurt big time crashing too much or using too many wings etc.
- For the practice sessions, make them more focused on getting some predefined tasks done (this could be selected by the user as what R&D needs information on before the race and in the light of any R&D being actually developed)
- Maybe add the possibility of having made R&D errors which turns out to be not the right path for the current car, but instead of being a complete failure this improved understanding of a select area of the car and what not to do (this has be non static what is right)
- Maybe consider adding pit crew performance as a thing for R&D / training, this will have an effect on the performance of your pitstops
- Windtunnel usage time determined by the results in the previous season
- @mattwells149852 I will not be mad if they gave up on this game, to put all the team focus in F1 25. Just like a bad F1 team stops developing the actual car to try and get the next years car right.
The game is unsavable, they already know it by reading all this thread.
