100% my thoughts exactly. I have played F1 games every year since the 2013 game. I have been disappointed with the customisation every year, every year hoping for a custom editor similar to MotoGP franchise for the helmets and even Forza for liveries for My Team. I stopped playing My team the year after it was first introduced as there are 20 'real' looking cars and then my car with 3/4 colours and some made up sponsors yet the game is fully packed and licenced with enough to make a convincing real life livery. I only play a player career or open lobbies with friends. I switched from console to PC after the 2021 game and every year since, I have loaded the game, checked out the editor options, been disappointed because its the same, (normally with the same designs as the year before) and been on mod sites downloading helmets and liveries within 10 minutes of the install finishing! I had high hopes for this changing when EA took over but for the last 3 games have been disappointed. The customisation needs to seriously be looked at for F1, they have better customisation on Need for Speed games, so its not like its impossible for EA to make that freedom of customisation, but F1 would 100% need OFFICIAL sponsors on the editors.
