Learning the Track/Braking Points can be done in about 10 laps of Time Trial. It's not time consuming. Here's a handy way to do it. Set the fastest lap you can on Time Trial with the racing line on, then switch it off and follow what your ghost car is doing. You'll start to notice different reference points for where you need to brake because you're no longer staring at the track surface looking for a red line to appear. I guarantee 100% you'll beat your time set with the line on because you'll push the braking zones to the limit and start making apexes because you're now looking into the corner rather than the floor.
You're Time Trial settings will also provide a braking only line to help you learn
