RANKED LOBBIES 25% DISTANCE????

Are there any plans to add 25% races to ranked lobbies?

I cant for the life of me understand why this has been removed from the game, ranked racing was my go to game mode on previous titles but I just cant get into 5 lap races. For me they are pointless.

Half of the enjoyment of F1 is being able to show consistent race pace and planning a good race strategy. Anybody can nail a single good lap time, but being able to maintain a consistent pace for a race distance is a challenge that I always enjoyed. Ranked play is suppose to be where you go to show off your skills and fight with other competitive drivers but over 5 laps this just isn't the same experience or challenge and I no longer play Ranked because of this. (which I feel is a slight punishment as I'm stuck on silver ranking and going backwards every week I don't play a ranked race, and therefore I'm not getting any podium pass bonus, which isn't really a big loss, because rewards are terrible and boring, but still annoying)

I do think 5 lap races should remain a option for those who are short on time etc but 25% races should defiantly be the standard option for ranked.

Personally i think it should be 25% length although i never really play ranked because of the large number of crashes that ruin races.

They changed it and the people playing theis mode didn't ask for this. A shame, really.

@Cpayne32 Yeah i agree the amount of crashes and unfair drivers does take away a lot of the fun, which is another thing altogether that needs addressing by EA/Codemasters but again this is where my case for 25% comes into play. It gives you the chance to sit back and wait for the bad/unfair drivers to take each other out, then you usually you can go on to enjoy 10-15 laps of clean competitive racing with the remaining players.

@HermannTGerman I really hope there is enough noise about this which will make EA/Codemasters add it back. But so far I've not really seen much about this ☹️

Unfortunately for you guys I highly doubt we’ll see this change in F1 24.

Not that I’m unhappy bout them probably not changing this, but for your sake.

I did ask about this to a community manager here, but got no response.
Last year I was doing about 12 hours of ranked a week. This year It's about an hour.

@DRudd13 I will tag @EA_Groguet and @EA_Vendcera who may be able to speak with the devs and get an update but they are both very busy individuals

5 lap is pointless for all the reasons mentioned. Not worth my time and frustration... Please fix.
I do remember F1 23 switching to 5 lap for a bit and it wasn't well received, not sure why they'd switch for 24.

@DRudd13I'm exactly the same, I effectively do one ranked race a week to see if its still 5 laps.
And i fully agree with everything on that other post too, auto resetting to track is so fustrating. Especially because us spawns you further along the track than where you go off (I could semi tolerate/accept it if you spawned exactly level to where you are off track)

Again, hope people can make some noise about this to get a response but I doubt it 😕
