Tyre wear

Hey everyone, how's it going? What do you think of the game? I found the handling awful, it feels like I'm playing a 90s arcade game.

Besides that, I'm having problems with tire wear. To give you an idea, the average tire wear is between 7%-10% per lap (on a track where in F1 23 the wear didn't even reach 4% per lap). It's impossible to use soft tires in the race if you choose the 25% option (in F1 23 my strategy was always medium/soft or vice versa, but with this wear, it’s discouraging to play. I feel that if they don't improve a lot in the next updates, I'll feel like an idiot for all the money and anticipation spent.

  • You have to drive in a way and work with setup to reduce tyre wear. Be partiicularly careful of brake locking

  • @imaspes The right setup is much more important this year. For example, it seems that they did a better Job as in last years. This year, lower tire pressure increases your tire wear because of higher friction. Tore with low pressure has more contact with the track. This ends in more friction, higher surface temp and higher tire wear as well. Same as in real life with your tires on your car 🤓 You have also to increase your tire pressure by higher load (more fuel).

Camber and Toe are also very different this year. For my setups im running all left camber and toe and max pressures for tyres in goth qualifying and the race

@yankeeprankz thank you for this - im running low pressures to keep the temps down to reduce wearr so ive gone the wrong way on setup
