ERS Bug?

Since the update I've seen a big issue crop up.

Got to Baku Quali, ended up 4 seconds off the pace of the AI, I race on 105 AI and have done and been competitive in both quali and race, but there's definitely been some sort of issue as in the past few races, qualified P20 by a margin, even after lowering the difficulty.

I have clips showing there is an issue with ERS Draining, it doesn't even deplete at all, also note how Hulkenberg and the group ahead take off - I run SRC Setups and run med TC, never been a problem before this update.

Noticed that down the straights the engine stalls around 185~mph, whilst the AI climb up to 200mph, again, the setup I run has been quick in the past in comparison, definitely some bug

  • If you have clips I'd recommend posting them in the Technical Issues section with a Report Code.  I had to turn AI down by a little bit after the update since their qualifying pace is now more where it should be.  If you're driving for Nico in the Haas then your top end could just be the car itself not being powerful enough to hit 200+ mph.  I can never get to max RPM in 8th in a Williams, even with setups that should allow for it.

    Hey @Ben357Limb,

thanks for flagging. Yes, there currently seem to be some unintended ERS changes that made it into the game. This has already been passed on to the team for further investigation.

@EA_Vendcera is this bug why the deployment is now doubled? The deployment never runs out over a lap, this can't be a thing. It's an advantage to people with more buttons available, and not realistic at all

Not only is it an advantage as described in the reply above, it violates the F1 rules of only 4 MJ of energy deployment allowed per lap. In a game that is supposed to be an F1 "sim", my assumption is that the rules of F1 must also be followed. Many of us consider immersion to be an important factor when playing games.
