F1® 24 - Known Issues

Hey racers,

We’re aware that some of you reported performance issues since the latest patch. While we’re actively working to improve the game’s performance, we suggest the following troubleshooting steps as they may assist you in improving the overall performance:

  1. Update your drivers
  2. Do a Clean Install
  3. Change your in-game settings
  4. Create a gaming profile
  5. Do a Clean Boot
  6. Delete the hardware settings file
Spoiler
Here's how to find and delete your hardware settings file:

  • If already running, close F1 24
  • On the storage device you have F1 24 installed, go to: Users\YOURNAME\Documents\My Games\F1 24\hardwaresettings
  • Delete both the hardware_settings_config.xml and hardware_settings_info.xml files
  • Re-load F1 24

For further information on the steps mentioned above, please see the following article: Troubleshooting graphics on PC

Save Failed

We have also seen players mentioning errors saving the game. If you receive an error message saying “Save Failed”, you can fix this with the following troubleshooting steps:

  1. Run as administrator
    - Browse to the folder where the game was installed.
    - Right-click on the executable and choose Run as Administrator.
    - Use the computer administrator's username and password if asked.

  2. Allow games and apps through Firewall
  3. Close OneDrive/Google Drive

Anticheat errors

If you’re seeing any errors with the EA anticheat, please check the steps below:

If you have any further concerns, please check our Technical Issues boards in AHQ as other users might have reported similar problems. If it hasn't been reported yet, feel free to start a new thread.
