F1® 24 - Known Issues
Hey racers,
We’re aware that some of you reported performance issues since the latest patch. While we’re actively working to improve the game’s performance, we suggest the following troubleshooting steps as they may assist you in improving the overall performance:
- Update your drivers
- Do a Clean Install
- Change your in-game settings
- Create a gaming profile
- Do a Clean Boot
- Delete the hardware settings file
- If already running, close F1 24
- On the storage device you have F1 24 installed, go to: Users\YOURNAME\Documents\My Games\F1 24\hardwaresettings
- Delete both the hardware_settings_config.xml and hardware_settings_info.xml files
- Re-load F1 24

Save Failed
We have also seen players mentioning errors saving the game. If you receive an error message saying “Save Failed”, you can fix this with the following troubleshooting steps:
- Run as administrator
- Browse to the folder where the game was installed.
- Right-click on the executable and choose Run as Administrator.
- Use the computer administrator's username and password if asked. - Allow games and apps through Firewall
- Close OneDrive/Google Drive
Anticheat errors
If you’re seeing any errors with the EA anticheat, please check the steps below:
- Make sure Windows is up to date
- Troubleshoot EA anticheat on your PC
- Add EA anticheat as an exclusion to Windows Security
