I am unable to enter the pit stop!!!

I seem to have resolved the issue by deleting the career save that kept crashing and creating a new one. So far, I've done a pit stop during a practice session without the same crash occurring. However, I've encountered a new problem: there are slight stutters during my laps, which prevent me from shifting gears or activating DRS in time. This significantly reduces my control over the car and makes it very easy to run off the track. Please help me.
