My Team Career - New Component Penalty Not Given
I started a new My Team Career save (PS5 version) and took new Energy Store and Control Electronics components after Qualifying and before the Race - at the workstation screen - fully expecting to take the 20 place grid penalty (I qualified 8th) and start at the very back. When the loading screen ended and I was sat on the grid for the Race Strategy selections, my car was still in the 8th box. The penalty notification popped up telling me about the 20 place penalty, but I figured I’d be filed back to 22nd after the formation lap. Nope; when the formation lap was ending, I parked my car in the 8th box and seemed to get 2 new components without incurring a single place in penalty.
i know, I should be happy I wasn’t punished for it, but that’s not how the rules are supposed to work, and more importantly not how I work. I took the extra components in the first race to get the inevitable pain out of the way.
