MY TEAM CAREER MODE - CONTRACT RENEWAL BUG (F1 24) MAJOR ISSUE

Current date: 12/12/2024

I bought this game about a week ago on my Xbox Series S console. I am not an online player and career mode is the only mode I care about. When I finished the first season of My Team Career mode it asked me to either renew my 2nd driver contract or approach a new driver. But here is the problem, there is NO BUTTON that allows me to buy, approach or renew driver contracts in the driver market. There is only button to "watch" or "compare" the drivers. I have looked all over the forums and many other players have the exact same problem.

On one of the forums the EA Community Manager @EA_Vendcera  said they fixed this issue on patch 1.7, however the issue has not been fixed at all. I repeat: There is no actual button to approach or buy drivers from the driver market in the F1 24 My Team Career mode. This issue was also reported to the EA game advisor (Case #197315236) if you wanted to check it out.

I love this game but this has completely taken the joy out of it, if not fixed I will be forced to refund the game.

    Hey there. I do have the same issue and I even reported a online report via the EA app, hope they will read it.

    For a minute there i hoped you were the EA community manager and have actually read the reply and done the fix XD. Sadly I heard nothing from any EA support nor the managers, they have given me a big F*** YOU, and to the people who bought their game that has missing content. If you bought it recently, I would go ahead and ask for refund, xbox has not allowed me one, but I have appealed. I have tried reaching out multiple times to them in good faith, but they are simply not interested in fixing this major bug and have ignored me, screw them. It would help if you liked my post , maybe they will then recognise it as an actual problem.

    Hahaha, sorry for that. I actually bought it in the beginning of the release. Overall I'm happy with the game but these contract negotiations suck. I already had it mid season but as I had a rookie team, I thought, couldn't leave my teammate already. But now I can't think of anything else than another teammate. But game doesn't let me, I guess I have to stick with him atleast till mid season again. Hope he gets top 15 or even better top 10.

  • @CroatianMasterr I just bought an f1 game for the first time and have the same problem. I'm really enjoying the career mode but this is a real bummer not being able to change your secondary driver

    No, I was sooo excited to hire a new driver because current one sucks (the car is not so great but it is able to score points), and when I clicked on 'go to drivermarket' I already knew what time it was cause there was no option to negotiate, and when I looked at how many days my current driver has until contract renewal, it said 161 days (I am angry)
