Well i know ur feeling and i had same thing almost every game released..there is trick to get it to work..first make sure that if u use xbox controller that ur Xbox apps from windows store are updated and that they not blocked somehow...then i normally just go into windows settings and actually remove the controller (not the wireless adaptor) and then reconnect it again and make reboot between those steps.. when u start the game up wait until is loaded. then i use steam so i press my shortcut to get overlay showen or u can also access it on steam settings....then go to controller settings.
I uploaded screenshot (soz it written in Danish but marked what to press) here u should try to actually dectivate "vibrations" then save profile ..then reboot steam or pc then back in and then set to on/auto and reboot again...if u use steam and u change settings in overlay then the controller does not work as it should so...always close game and open after changes.....
Normally vibrations always bug when there is a sync problem somewhere in steam/game or windows....whene all goes bad then uninstall all drivers then remove reboot and when starten connect again and start over by sync with xbox accessories and when starting f1 24 try connect it to usb directly into ur pc
at last recalibrating in windows can fix that to...
its abit confusing written but hope it can somehow help and if not then GL since it is working for my controller
