Re: After patch V1.14 my screen freezes for a few seconds and FPS drops

Hey @CombinedYoutuber,

I am very happy to hear that you didn't face any stutters or lags.
Lets catch up on track!

@jensilandroid Thanks for the settings advice. I applied all the settings. I did a 5 lap Suzuka Benchmark where two freezes still occured.

However I decided to do a second Benchmark immediately after without restarting the game or touching any settings.

The second Bechmark was completely fine without any freezing issues.

I'll leave everything unchanged for now. I can't tell if it will fix the issue permanently but thanks a lot for sharing the settings.

    Hello @buelzenost,

Frankly, I don't do this benchmarking thing, and I usually tweak my settings based off the race scenario. And I did one or two benchmark tests that too couple of months ago, that was during the game launch.

That time, I did see few stutters here and there in Bahrain.
But do try playing / racing. I really hope you don't get any stutters or lags and enjoy the racing!

  • Can it be due to a bug in some graphic settings? I mean I've changed the shadows setting from ultra high to ultra low and visually it doesn't change anything (also fps are the same)

Sometimes my GPU usage which is normally between 55-65% just all of a sudden drops to 0% and causes the game to freeze. In that exact moment my CPU usage goes from 35% up to 88% for a moment.

It's quite strange since F1 24 is the only game I'm having these issues with that the GPU usage drops to 0% no matter which settings I use.

  • Yes, it seems that the game stalls the cpu or the gpu...anyway tonight I tried a race in Las Vegas and had lot of stutter freezes, then I did another race only changing the "ambient occlusion" setting from "AMD FidelityFX CACAO" to "HBAO+" and the race went almost smooth (only some minor slow downs but no more freezes)...so if anyone else could try "HBAO+" it would be interesting to notice if that was only luck or if that setting really matters...

    hello

I also have this freezing problem

And you're right. GPU changes to 0

This problem is from the game itself and the developers themselves must fix it

    We can't do anything
