Hi @EA_Vendcera, Playing the game post 1.5 patch, there seems to be a slight improvement, However, unfortunately it is no where near fixed.. The AI still bunch up in trains and the 2 cars at the front overtake each other lap after lap and loose massive amounts of time. sometimes after the pit stops the trains get broken up abit, and they end up in small packs of 2 or 3 cars, and they overtake each other lap after lap and loose huge time also. its very hard for the player to break out of the train if you are at the front , you usually just drag them along with you.

I hope codemasters still realize this is a problem. It's sucking the life out of the single player game.

This is a prime example of the issue, even with the improvements. This is lap 9/18 at Silverstone in career mode with no safety car, pits or flags. 

The first car is max in 1st. Him and 2nd have swapped places a few times. Nobody can pull away at all. They need to add some sort of dirty air for the AI quickly. 

Personally the game's got great potential. I'm willing to give ea, codemasters time. I'm not playing a game at the moment.Cause I m not enjoying it because of the DRS train.

The AI are all Bunched up. It's too easy for me to follow and almost impossible for me to get away. The AI can overtake but then can't get away either. So it just goes backward and forward. Becomes very boring and lifeless.

Yep it does feel like it has good potential. The racing is just fundamentally wrong at the moment. I really don't understand why they push this "ERS Overtake" button so much. It feels so unrealistic to be using it out of corners constantly. I'm not a F1 engineer but from what we can see, overtake is used very sparingly in certain situations, not constantly throughout a lap. I really think it's the main cause of these issues.

I know and totally understand that it's frustrating. We've got some further improvements lined up that should come with an upcoming patch.

Lap 8 on a career race around Spa, this is how close all the cars are (it goes beyond the corner all the way to last place). Due to this they're incredibly slow around turn 1 as they all bunch up. I fully expect that it will just be like this until the finish. The first and second car will swap a few times and that's it, unless I want to go rogue and divebomb my way to P1, which I won't be able to keep without DRS.. 

I can't believe they released this gameplay. It's ridiculous.

Yes tracks like spa and red bull ring etc are ridiculous. The drs is massively over powered due to the lack of dirty air etc. You have to sit in a drs train the whole race as if you get to the front you just get overtaken again.

Hoping they just reduce the drs effect. It's by far the simplest solution at this point. They won't add dirty air as it will be off putting to men players.

I don't actually think it's the DRS that's the issue, I think it's ERS. The car at the front of the pack can always defend with ERS 'Overtake' which means that the car with DRS can't get past them on the straights. 

I think they need to reduce the ERS effectiveness and massively increase the recharge time and it might play ok again. 

It's not ers. It's the drs and lack of dirty air.

Look at the lap times of the race I just did. Lap 55-60 I'm struggling on old mediums slipping towards mid 14s. Cars behind catching around half a second a lap. I get overtaken on lap 60. From then on I can comfortably lap in 13s even though the tyres are getting worse and worse. I can stay with the car in front who was previously half a second a lap quicker. I'm thing less ers too. 

This is zandvort which isn't near the most drs heavy track either.

It should never be half a second a lap quicker to travel right behind another car than it is to have clean air.

Whilst this is the case we will continue to have non stop drs trains. 

I’m sorry but this is utterly ridiculous now. Coming up to two months since release and still these ridiculous trains are not fixed. 

Also, there seems to be no AI mistakes again? So since the last patch the game has got WORSE. They can’t overtake properly and make no mistakes so just follow each other in one big line. 

I usually blame the “suits” more than the devs but frankly I think the devs are now taking the p***. If they can’t fix it, hire people who can. How much was champions edition? £70/80? Disgrace  

Any update? There was no news in the latest patch. It’s been over 6 weeks since launch and still no improvement.

It's way too easy to follow the AI, but on the other side it's impossible to get away, i'm still stuck in the drs-trains, i can't break out if i was on first position, pls fix this

Totally agree. It makes the game unplayable. It's sucks all the enjoyment out of it. I would rather codmasters, take their time and get this sorted because it's bad.

Any update please?
