No it doesn't deplete even when it says active no use so in a race have no power this happens in F1 world and career mode and 2 player career make the game unplayable as have essentially no power doesn't do any thing in any mode of ers either 

MY ERS doesn't work in quail and sometimes work in the race it says at 100 percent can change modes and active ERS but nothing comes out 

Does the HUD show that overtake mode is active if you change it to that mode
