Changing the dead zone is now an occurrence before practice qualifying and the race, this is getting ridiculous, cannot play co op career in a fun way as my friend is continuously struggling with being left in the dust by the AI as ers cannot be deployed, please fix this , been looking forward to this game for a long time and am extremely dissatisfied by the fact that I can’t have fun with my friend on the game.

Also forgot to include, that this is an everytime occurrence and if the battery is let to charge back up to 100% again it will stop working and dead zone needs to be changed continuously to keep it off 100. For such a main part of the game to not be working correctly is becoming increasingly frustrating, I appreciate it may not be an easy fix but when you spend this amount of money on a new game and it doesn’t work correctly from the get go it unmotivates you to continue playing. If you have any other work around that may not be a temporary fix and can make the game not think there’s an issue please let me know. Basically can’t play the main part of why I bought the game for 2 player career mode until this is resolved. I appreciate your time thank you. 

So on PS5, you need me to go on my Wheel and Pedal's control centre on a PC to change the deadzone just to make the game playable with ERS actually working?

Yep, otherwise the game is literally unplayable, genuinely laughable at this point that I paid over $100 for this

We are still seeing multiple players in our league having this issue, even after adjusting the deadzone. In some cases, adjusting needs to be done multiple times a race which renders a multiplayer race unplayable.

Please advise if this is still something that needs to be patched and when we can expect it.

with the coming update and patch 1.5 on Monday, we are addressing some additional issues with ERS you called out here.

• Slightly increased the amount of brake pressure needed before ERS stops deploying to help people with controller or pedal problems

ERS issue seems to be back (if it ever went away). ERS shows to be deploying when toggled but this has no impact on the car performance and charge stays at 100%.

Playing on PS4 with controller. Changing deadzone has not fixed this. Also tried remapping, restarting, different controller. Nothing works and the game is unplayable without ERS when AI have full use.

@EA_Vendcera thanks for your help on this chain so far. Any further advice/update on this issue. It seems as if patch 1.5 onset this issue for me.

@ajandreson We are planning to release another patch soon that should address some more of the ERS issues, also in relation to AI.

Thank you for the updates, the ERS issue has been happening to me with the latest patch V1.6 was released.

The ERS deployment is no longer working correctly I have included a clip from my stream where you can see even though I have the ERS set to Hotlap the ERS remains at 100%

When I am in career mode I can have the ERS in Overtake mode and the AI is passing my on straights with ease

I have tried your suggestion of increasing brake deadzone however this has not worked

I've had the same problem since today. No matter which ERS mode I use, I can't get any power into my vehicle. I have already checked the game for errors, reinstalled it and restarted the PC. I've also tested other game modes and they didn't work either.

Still having the issue 

I have done all recommended fixes and still have this issue. Game is now unplayable weeks after buying a wheel…. Fantastic 

anyone know how else to fix this?

Still having this problem. I have changed the break deadzone, reinstalled the game. Updated all the drivers for my thrustmaster base and Steering Wheel. Worked for a moment but then cut out in the middle of the race.

Unsure if the Bitdefender exception applies to you. I have neither.

Third party AV is unnecessary in Windows, if Cloudflare didn't teach you it's unwelcome with how it messes with the OS, then....

The other reason is Thrustmaster. I grew extremely frustrated with their tech support not hearing a persistent issue I had, so I sold up and bought Fanatec. Another company that can't write drivers for their overpriced kit. In fairness, that's probably a team of one as a resource, like Logitech.

I dodged a bullet with Thrustmaster kit and this game.

I have over 600 hours and this glitch is still happening! Just happened to me today for first time. Ps5 TM T300rs tlcm pedals. All modes, saves... Unbelievable
