I hope people learnt from ‘23 and didn’t buy the champions edition and payed €30 to play 3 day’s early wich is impossible with the bugs. It’s the same every year, learn from it

- @2euoxqb272hq You’d hope that EA / codemaster would’ve learned from last year and done more robust testing. Wishful thinking

Congratulations on purchasing a first world problem with your surplus cash.

Hey there,
This thread has been escalated and the game team is currently investigating the issue. As soon as I have more information I will let you know and I will keep you updated.

Hello @EA_Groguet,
I have no idea how, but I found a sort of fix that might help you with this issue.
My steering wheel: I have the Logitech G29, including pedals (PlayStation version). I am playing on a PC.
The problem I’m experiencing: I have the Logitech GHub app, which is updated to the latest version 2024.4.*****. When I go into Time Trial mode, everything is fine until I approach a curve and need to brake. Then, the force feedback "turns off," and as soon as I accelerate out of the curve, it kicks back in. Often, the steering wheel then jerks completely to the left or right on its own. I’ve spent over 14 hours trying to resolve this issue.
I have two other computers with an older version of Logitech GHub installed, 2024.3. When I connect my steering wheel to these computers, everything works perfectly with no bugs. My friend also has a G29 steering wheel with the 2024.3 version of GHub on his PC, and it works flawlessly. The problem for me is that on my main PC, I have no way to install the older version of GHub; it always updates automatically to 2024.4, no matter which installer I use (older or the current 2024.3 installer).
My fix: I installed the old Logitech Gaming Software and uninstalled GHub. Then, I was able to play the game, but with very weak force feedback, which wasn’t good either. Then, I reinstalled GHub while the game was running, tabbed back into the game after installation, and the buttons on the steering wheel didn't work. Then, I unplugged the wheel from the PC and plugged it back in. The buttons worked again, and as long as I didn’t close the game, the force feedback worked perfectly in all modes.
Conclusion: The issue is definitely with the GHub app. It’s possible that the new version 2024.4 is optimized for the G923, but for the G29, it’s a disaster.
I hope you understand everything.
And yes, I tried everything else beforehand. I reinstalled everything. I tried all the solutions from the forums, and even reinstalled Windows.
Best regards.
How can I get a refund for early access?
- @EA_Groguet How can I get a refund for early access?
I have the same problem with the Fanatec CSL DD (5nm). I start the game and there is simply no force feedback. I then tried to solve the problem as in the last part by pressing pause during the race and disconnecting and reconnecting the steering wheel once, but unfortunately without success. I think it's a real shame that a game is always praised so highly but the simplest things don't work. Sad.
- NormBash841 year agoRising Scout@ryanoliver21 I too am curious.. since this happend to me last year too.. with no refund.. or even a real fix.. just a deactivating the trueforce..
- NormBash841 year agoRising Scout@ryanoliver21 i too am curious about this refund. I guess its my fault for falling for the preorder trap again. Like the last 2 years. when will I learn my lesson? Or they could just come out with a product that works like it should. Doesn't have the exact same issues multiple years in a row.
Almost as if they didn't even try to fix it. If it doesn't. we can wait. not like we can play the game as it is.. and actually be competitive. anyways, frustration rant over. - @EA_Groguet EA Play has been cancelled on my end. The lack of response and lack of patch on such a game breaking bug affecting so many is unacceptable. Just an absolutely atrocious launch and way to handle a bug that simply should not be there.
EA knew before that the two most popular wheelbases Fanatec (the hardware F1 eSports Pros use) and Logitech were going to be used for this game and to have the issues they have is simply unacceptable. - @TuS-Raziel010 question, are you having throttle issues too? I can press the throttle almost 40% before the car moves. I have removed my pedals from the rig and wheelbase and tried a firmware update through USB, HOPING that it was out of date and would correct the FFB issue and throttle respond, but nothing. This is total * lmao. I went ahead and cancelled my EA Play, this is some absolute BS.
Still have the Problem with my G29 on Pc that my FFB is on when im driving fast and when i breake it turns off, after i go faster the FFB kicks in and then the wheel locks in left oder right and u cant move anything

- @catpantalones nope my throttle and brakes works fine. just the ffb was not there 🙂
- duMiauz1 year agoNew NoviceHey @EA_Groguet,
when will we get new information? When will there finally be a fix update for the FFB?
We wait and wait... Product: F1 24
Platform:Xbox Series X
Please specify your platform model. Microsoft Xbox Series X
Summarize your bug Force Feed Back is incredibly weak. Adjusting the settings does nothing. Especially when at a high-mid speed part of the track.
What is your 16 digit Report Code? TDTD-GXMK-EDDK-GBJG
What peripherals are you using? Please list the exact make and model. Logitech G923
Can you please provide the name of your current internet service provider? JDC
Which area is the bug/glitch in? Single Player
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Play the game using the G923
What happens when the bug occurs? Force Feed Back is weak
What do you expect to see? Force Feed Back to be responsive
Force Feed Back is not working on the G923 on the Xbox Series X. When driving at high-mid speeds the force feedback is virtually non-existent. The wheel can be turned with no resistance, corner entry and exit is nearly impossible. At very low speeds the force feedback is present, but the settings in game to adjust the resistance levels have no effect.
Hello @XxJokesonyuxX. This is a known issue that the team is currently investigating. You will be able to find updates regarding this issue as they become available in the thread I've linked below.
No of course they wont give us any news or updates. Its been a week now. Imagen Blizzards release of Diablo 4, and the buttons on the mouse didnt work the first week of release - and no communication at all except “We are looking at it”..
This is so unprofessional, first of all to release a game of this state. Second, to not know about it, and then not communicating to your audience the progress and targets you are trying to reach. Will it ever work!? No one knows atm. Fact is, Its 7 days since release, and no Update, patch or fis is seen yet. Just like the other years of release of 22, 23, and so on.
You are not a indie company of 2 people in a basement creating a game, so start acting like your really care and act your size.
- ha6hk3w77mwj1 year agoSeasoned Veteran@Langhoffeina Are you realy surprised? They do it every year, and will keep doing it every year as long as we buy the games broken, money is in the bag so why would they care? It’s the way Codemasters/ea works. Don’t agree with their way, show them with your wallet👍🏻 buy next years game after looking at the forums and see that the bugs are fixed
- NormBash841 year agoRising Scout@XxJokesonyuxX It's super inconvenient however when in the race. Before the start, unplug the wheel from the Xbox and plug it back in. It should come back. Now as of right now. You have to do that every race. It will come back though. In my experience. Hopefully this helps for now
When will this issue finally be adressed? Game is out for over a week now and I cannot play it with my fanatec setup because I have ZERO force feedback.. how is this even possible with your official partner fanatec. Nevertheless, I simple cannot play a game i payed extra money for to get early access. And you just leave it there? Tried to contact EA many times and all I hear from an AI generated Chat is "we are working on it" just like Ferrari engineers irl.. CAN ANYBODY FROM EA PLAESE NAME A DATE ? WHEN ARE WE GOING TO BE ABLE TO PLAY THE GAME WE PAYED FOR? WILL WE GET ANY REFUNDS?? ANYZHING?????
- SkullyRacing1 year agoNew Scout
No refunds.
Patch will come out by next Tuesday as I know.
Please give Update also for Logitech Wheels.
There is no effect in Downloading newest firmware for the wheel.
My console: PS5
Wheel: Logitech Pro Wheels.
After updating still not enough FFB, don't put the Issue with Logitech Wheels as closed
G923. No force feedback. Terrible.
