EA has written off the franchise because they will probably lose the license after F1 25:

It makes no sense to spend time on cosmetic fixes (unless it affects copyrights). Developer resources will be used elsewhere, there is no more money to make with F124 and F125 will probably only have minor changes to F124 (liveries etc.)

And even if they don't lose the license they will treat F125 poorly, as it's definitely the end of the current FIA regulations, because there will be massive changes in 2026. So there will be lot more work to do compared to the last iterations.

Either they grab the last money with F125, with minimal effort, and give up the franchise, or they plan a real hammer for F126 and the resources are already going into that. Personally, I don't think so. EA: show me that I'm wrong.
