Codemasters Team
Hey everyone,
Thank you for your detailed reports on these issues.
The team are investigating a permanent fix for various problems relating to wet weather tyres being unavailable in conditions that warrant them or desynchronisation of tyre selection in online modes. In the meantime, as a temporary workaround, the team have suggested ensuring that players select anything other than 'Casual' when choosing their Settings Filter type. This can be done in the home settings screen, shown in the top right-hand corner.
Whilst this may not fix this issue for all players, we believe this is one of the causes for tyres not being incorrect. It's also important to note that if you are mid-weekend when you make this change, the tyres may still be unavailable. The correct tyre selection may then become available at the next 'wet' race.
Thank you! - superfastish72 years agoSeasoned Scout
that doesnt make any sense bro. Need a Permanent Solution for future F1 game as well. It was there in F1 21 randomly

im on expert mode still same issue this is not a fix or a workaround
- Sugandhalaya2 years agoRising Veteran
This workaround doesn't change anything...settings filter set to expert since beginning, still no wet and intermediate tyres available.
- rayloriga2 years agoNew Traveler@Sugandhalaya Same here
- Shutler19872 years agoRising Traveler
Having it set to expert makes no difference. I have always had it set to expert not casual.
The issue arises any time it rains. I know the tyre rules inside out so I know when they should be available!
Hurry up and get this sorted please!

I’m on “Expert” settings from the start and I still have the issue. The moment I get another wet race I will stop playing this game until there is a fix, unless it takes too long then this will be my last EA F1 game.
The best workaround the game could have had would have been to keep the option to turn the weather off so you can’t get wet sessions as previous F1 games had. Don’t understand why this option was removed from this game.

@CM_TGK Are we right to assume that this issue is not being fixed with tomorrow’s patch?
If so, when can we expect this to be sorted as the career mode is unplayable until then and is a major holdup for a lot of players?
Any news would be great just to manage expectations! ☺️

this is marked as solved yet i did not see any mention in the patch notes
- Sugandhalaya2 years agoRising Veteran
This is still not solved but marked as solved because of the non-working workaround.
- Nicolas_SV52 years agoSeasoned Traveler@Sugandhalaya Still broken indeed. No one switches to inters when it's clearly a fully wet track. AI stays on slicks.
Des nouvelles concernant ce probleme?

This is strange indeed. I'm 10 races in with my Driver Career, 4 races were wet from the start, and I have never encountered this bug. If it's raining at the start of a qualy session/race, I can select wet tyres without a problem, and the AI is using them as well. I'm really wondering what is the cause of this bug. I'm on PS5 by the way.
Seems very strange, I've saw vidoes on YouTube that don't have this issue but I do. I'm in f2 driver career. I wonder if I just keep backing out when it happens I wonder if it fixes it. Must be something to do with a setting that causes it. I'm on full race distance and full practice and qualifying.

Well... scratch my previous comment. I just had a 10 lap sprint race. Conditions were fit for intermediates. Every car had slicks on, and I couldn't select wet tyres. The AI didn't even bother to pit for inters, the cars were cruisin like everything is fine and dandy. I went in for inters after the first lap, and I've managed to win the race with the car in 2nd like 30 seconds behind me. By the way, the suggested workaround doesn't actually work. My settings were set to expert from the moment I got the game, and this bug still happened. This needs to be fixed guys! Make this a priority and release a hotfix ASAP!

@Euphonic88 I believe during heavy rain when full wets are needed the game works fine. It’s when you need to start on Inters that the bug pops up for whatever reason.
Hello! Unfortunately, this problem has not been solved! I have the Australian Grand Prix in my career now, a wet track, it's raining, but I can only use slicks (Soft, Medium, Hard) in the strategy for the race. It makes it very hard to enjoy the game ☹️

Hey folks,
thanks for all your reports while we dealt with this issue.
We've got a fix planned for it that should provide you (and AI) with the correct tyre selection, coming with our patch tomorrow at 10am UTC.
You can find the full patch notes here:

-Vendcera @EA_Vendcera This problem has persisted in my Driver Career. Qaulifying has been fine but I have still had a race that was wet but with everyone starting on dry tires. Engineer says the typical wet race lines "it will be drying out in about 15 min" type of stuff. DRS was activated on lap two like it was a dry race...
- superfastish72 years agoSeasoned Scout@EA_Vendcera The Problem is still there
Issue has not been fixed. In f2 I was racing at imola which started on drys in dry conditions. It started to rain, my engineer wanted me to change strategy for mediums in a wet race I declined and manually pitted for wets. The AI however kept pitting every lap for suoersoft slick tyres. I was about 6 laps up on second place in 10 laps. This is outrageous that ea have said the issue was patched when it clearly isn't and still makes driver career mode unplayable.
- superfastish72 years agoSeasoned Scout
@EA the Issue is Still there. I raced on my team it was raining i can not choose wet tyres. also everyone was in dry tyres but it was raining , there should be a option for choosing every tyres!
- @superfastish7 This is honestly a joke, where on Earth are the QA team, EA? They should be doing this, not us! Releasing a patch that claims to fix it then it appears in another mode smh.
@AJP922 That is crazy, why is this a thing still? Pretty game breaking when the engineer and AI think it's dry, but AI pit every lap for some reason, I'm thinking they don't have wet tyres and that's why they're pitting every lap because their delta is telling them it's wet, but they don't have any wets therefore are in a loop of pit -> come out, oh it's wet -> pit -> rinse, repeat.
@EA_Vendcera take this issue back to the team and get them to look at it again and sort it out, it's embarrassing honestly, we're essentially unpaid QA testers now, aren't we?! I'm sorry, just annoyed that the issue was apparently in F1 23, never fixed, it's in this one now, you said the patch fixed this, it clearly hasn't, what more do we have to do to get effective fixes? - DRudd132 years agoSeasoned Ace
I've just experienced this in the F1 world featured wet race at Spain. It was raining and was showing only dry tyres. Even though I attempted it earlier in the week, and it gave me wet tyres.
I had been doing the f1 world short championship in the dry, before trying the featured event. So before starting the race, I restarted the whole game. And it put me on the right wet tyres.
Hope the information helps them fix the problem that is still occurring.
