runasadministrator.vdf

Every time it starts, it requests permission to preload the startup script on behalf of the administrator "runasadministrator.vdf". This clearly violates the user agreement. I have already reinstalle...

The .vdf stands for Valve Data File and Steam uses it to store game related Metadata. Does this popup occur when you try to run other games on Steam or just F1 24?

    So doing some more digging it looks like this is an error that randomly pops up with various Steam games sometimes. A user on Reddit reports that you just need to delete the appinfo.vdf file located at C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\appcache and the issue should resolve itself next time you start Steam.

      it is only with f1 24. deleting the vdf file does not help. i have deleted both vdf files myself, without success. the language packs are not installed either, only windows server speech. F1 is also not displayed in EA App although the accounts are linked.

        looks like the language packs should be installed or some other runtime. but it doesn't work
