Sector timing colors

Summarize your bug During any qualifying, I noticed that the HUD sector timings will show green but when I’m in the garage the timing screen shows that those sectors were actually purple.

Which area is the bug/glitch in? Single Player
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Run a qualifying lap that should be fastest of the field but observe green sectors shown in the hud instead of purple. 
What happens when the bug occurs? Green sectors shown in instead of purple.
What do you expect to see? Purple sectors shown in HUD when running fastest sectors of the field.
