Slow AI on Quali and super fast during Race

I’ve played a few races on f1 24 (My Team) and I’ve noticed that the AI are MUCH faster in the race than in quali. All races so far I have qualified in the 5-10 range, but in the race I have no chance, ending up in the bottom three positions within 5 laps of race start and unless some AI dnf, I WILL finish in last. Is anyone else experiencing this or am I just missing something?
@G4meverse are you using "overtake" during hotlap in qualifying? If so, you are faster then AI, because they only use "hotlap" mode. In the race they use all ERS modes.
Try a hotlap in Q without "overtake" and compare the times.
