VR initialization error

Question

I can not get the game starting in VR on PC, it does not work in F1 23 too. Whenever I choose the option "Play F1 in VR" I am getting this error in both, F1 23 and F1 24:

I am using the Meta Quest 3 with Virtual Desktop over wireless connection and VDRX as OpenXR runtime. This works for all other games, even MSFS2024 via game pass, only F1 will not work with my setup. I tried lowering the resultion and switching to windowed mode but I still get the same error.

How can I make this work? F1 was one of the reasons why I've got a Q3 in the first place.

Only works with Steam VR and a wired connection is recommended.I bought a Quest 2 for the same reason, but the implementation is so poor I lost interest.

Thank you very much, that was it! I tried using SteamVR in VD but this didn't work, turns out I have to use SteamVR standalone connected with Steam Link and this works, even wirelessly without a cable (I'm sitting 2m from my WLAN router). On first impression it didn't look too bad, certainly need to fidle around with the graphics settings a bit. Bummer though that VD is not supported, it's superiour in every way to SteamVR.
