Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Run a race in either intermediate or full wet conditions
What happens when the bug occurs? Rear tyres (both intermediate and x-wet) run in the 80-90°+ temperature range
What do you expect to see? More realistic Tyre temperatures
Had two wet races in a row, Austria and Silverstone, in intermediate and full wet conditions respectively. Ran a set up with a reasonable amount of wing, fairly open on-throttle differential, relatively soft suspension and anti-roll bars, and maxed out tyre pressures. Within five to ten laps both tyre compounds at both tracks were running in excess of 90°C carcass temps with surface temps in the 80°C range.
I cannot set the tyre pressures any higher. Taking off wing or stiffening the suspension makes the car uncontrollable while adding wing and softening the suspension makes it too slow and running off-line to try to cool the tyres does nothing. This did not occur, or at least as much or as bad prior to the v1.6 patch. Please fix your wet weather tyre temperature models; I have been playing since F1 2018 and this is as bad as I have ever seen it.
