With the 26 DLC coming along with cars, teams and drivers could old tracks be part of the DLC so changes can be made to the calendar after the frist season.
Be nice to see old tracks like portimao, paul ricard etc as well as sochi but can understand why that wouldn't be added
I also wish EA and Codemasters would put more circuits in the F1 games, but my understanding is that the real-world F1 is pretty strict about what circuits are in each game. The real-world F1 is going to start doing more rotations with the schedule, so it's likely there will be more circuits in future games.
For example, Spa-Francorchamps and Barcelona-Catalunya are going to start sharing a spot. Spa-Francorchamps in 2027, 2029, 2031, etc and Barcelona-Catalunya in 2028, 2030, 2032, etc. Spa is my favorite circuit, so I really hope it stays in the game every year.
There are licensing matters that restrict which tracks can and cannot be in the game. The only new circuit that will be added as part of the DLC would be Madrid
Did you miss some real F1 News about Portamio? We will see that in game next year due to getting a contract to replace a track
That won’t be included in the DLC though but would be included in F1 27 as would Turkey too
kamikazekid994: If you finish the DLC for this year and you are on Playstation or XBox it's likely you can find low-cost used discs of the older games with Paul Ricard and Sochi. I'm on PS5 so I have no idea if you can get the delisted games for the PC.
You will have to setup separate careers in each game, but it's a compromise solution for what you want.
If you don't want to wait until 27 to get Portimao and the Istanbul Park Circuit, 23 has both Portimao and Paul Ricard.
I would try to get the 2020 edition because it is one of the last years to have Sochi and 2020 is the only game with the unique Hanoi Circuit.
2019 is the most recent game with Hockenheimring.
2017 is the most recent game with the Sepang Circuit.
