About create your own driver on My Team

The flag issue is something I hadn't thought about, and it's true. I don't like the idea of ​​winning a race and having another flag for my character and not that of my country.

I understand completely. Since they have the icon mechanic, turning our F1 world avatar into an icon might be the simplest way to do it, but it might be too late for the 25 title.  

Callie Mayer is a) fictional b) not very good ratings wise c) british, so no I wouldn't be 100% happy racing as her, though still better than a dude. I would play My Team in F125 if Jamie Chadwick was still available as even though she's british and not that good, she is a real person who I've met and like as a person. (I have her signature on some Williams merchandise). For the record I'm not anti British(I have a British overseas national passport!), I'm an Aussie and I want to see my flag on the podium thats all!

Please add Jamie Chadwick back into the game or allow us to create a custom driver!!!

I’m curious, would you be happy driving as just any woman or only as yourself? They do have the one from braking point if you can sign and keep her. What if they had some F1 Academy drivers? Or is that not good enough?

I like the split roles of owner and driver but find myself driving to an inner monologue of Crofty and Brundle talking about me and not the name of the driver I am using. 

You age out of the child but the child never ages out of you. 

I'd only ever race as myself, after years of being forced to race as a dude, now that I can finally race as a girl (I am one) I could never imagine being content with being a dude again. Such a daft decision imo, that all said I am really enjoying my driver career so far, but would prefer to play my team and drive as myself. 

And with Colapinto replacing Doohan, he could will not be available as a option in My Team. Not cool.

I really hope the devs look at this message 

I can 100% see where they have gone with this my team but as a my team lover I can't get on with just driving as 1 of the 2 drivers and no personal driver 

All u had to do was just add the option to create your own driver as it's been the case since 2020 that's all and everyone would have been happy 

Nothing better than adding options so everyone as got options and I really hope u include this in the patch notes some point this week 

Personally, this is the number one thing that is currently really hindering my experience of an otherwise decent game. And the very small list of drivers available currently exacerbated the issue.

I solely play MyTeam for the last couple of installments because being an owner driver is like a magnum opus for me personally since the very first Grid. 

I could understand reintegrating an owner driver feature back into the current system is probably quite cumbersome (adding dialogues, finances rebalancing, etc), so I would be more than happy enough if they just allows us to make custom driver(s) and let us hire them in MyTeam.

Just make these custom drivers work similarly as the Icon Drivers, and they don't even need to integrate the stat-calculating system from Driver's Career, just let us set the stats freely like a sandbox game.

Yes your right about F1 Manager, but in F1 Manager you can't drive the car. You just have to manage the team. So no need to have a personnal driver. In f1 25 it's dufferent. You have to drive the car. It's the basis of the game. In my opinion we need a personnal driver to be added in the option of the MyTeam. Personnally, i don't like to drive instead of real driver. I want to fight with them with my own avatar and my own car/team... And now in Myteam it's no longer possible.  Why they remove the possibility to be owner and driver??? It's a shame. it was cleary better before for that even if the new featuresof Myteam 2.0 are really good and complete.

What might make sense is for us to create our own icon. We use the avatar system to create say 3 or 4 drivers and choose if they can be released in the wild or only signed by us. It would allow more driver pool diversity and address the desire to have yourself in the game. And since in real life drivers are out of the cost cap, maybe a toggle to make one driver locked in to your team if you want it. 

Obviously an F1 26 feature.
